DR.SPENCER: "You have to be kidding me. I advise against this woman's release of this facility."
A tall light skinned man wearing glasses and a white physicians coat sat behind a table bouncing his leg up and down obviously distraught and upset. He had been working at the Highland Park Recovery Center for a little over a decade and had worked with many different patients, but none as manipulative and as dangerous as Amber. Before being admitted to Highland Park, Amber had been a professional wrestler, scratching and clawing her way through the indie circuit under the name Sister Sin. After numerous failed attempts to reach the top of the cards or winning a title she had a mental breakdown nearly killing her opponent beating them so viciously. She sat at another table on the opposite side of Dr. Spencer with her lawyer, her demeanor seemed calm and collective, but Dr. Spencer knew it was nothing more than a facade.
BOARD MEMBER: "We appreciate your diagnosis and concern for the patient Dr. Spencer, but she has passed all her evaluations with flying colors. Myself and the other board members do not see any reason to keep her here at Highland Park."
LAWYER: "That is right. I have went over Ms. Dawn's paperwork thoroughly and it says that if a patient completes all the necessary steps and passes each evaluation they can be released from the facility."
The lawyer, a heavyset woman wearing a business suit said as she stood up looking at her client who still remained silent during the proceedings.
DR. SPENCER: "With all do respect, just because it says they can be released doesn't mean they always should be."
LAWYER: "That may be true, but my client has had no physical altercation with any staff member or other patient since she has been here. I do not think she is a harm to anyone or herself."
DR. SPENCER: "She may not have physically harmed anyone, but Ms. Dawn is far more sinister than you could ever imagine. She can get into someone's head, I have had four other patients nearly take their lives after coming into contact with her."
LAWYER: "Maybe it is not my client who should be in question then Dr. Spencer, maybe it's you and the way you are treating your patients. The fact of the matter is Ms. Dawns family wants her released immediately."
BOARD MEMBER: "I'm sorry Dr. Spencer we must follow protocol, everything points to her being cured except for you personal opinion, something we can't afford to take in consideration."
Dr. Spencer laughed as he watched Sister Sins lawyer sit back down next to her.
DR. SPENCER: "At the end of the day that's what this all comes down to isn't it. You say my opinion is something that you can't afford right now, how much money did her family pay you to authorize her release?"
The board began to mumbled amongst each other as the one doing all the talking slammed his fist down in front of him.
BOARD MEMBER: "That is enough Dr. Spencer, you dare question the integrity of this board. I promise that if you do not watch how you conduct yourself, Ms. Dawn will not be the only one leaving this facility today."
Dr. Spencer refrained from say anything further as he grit his teeth and looked over at his patient who was grinning ear to ear. It was no secret that her family had both money and influence. What happened on the indie circuit was covered up by bribes paying off everyone especially the wrestler she had almost killed. Her sudden disappearance from the public eye was also covered up with the explanation of her being out of the country as she studied abroad. The only people that knew the truth were the staff members at Highland Park Recovery Center and all of them had signed a Non-Disparagment Clause given by the courts, meaning if they would lose their licenses to practice medicine as well as face charges and time in jail. Dr. Spencer looked in Amber's direction shaking his head.
DR. SPENCER: "I'm starting to understand now just why it is they called you Sister Sin in wrestling. You are truly the most sinister person I have ever met."
He put his head down and closed the notes in front of him knowing he was defeated and there was nothing further he could do to protect the world from Amber.
BOARD MEMBER: "Ms. Dawn congratulations, you are not longer a patient here at Highland Park Recovery Center and wish you nothing but the best in all future endeavors. We understand that your family has found you a job and you will be competing in the ring again with Level Up Wrestling."
DR. SPENCER: "Are you kidding me, not only are we releasing her, but she will be competing in wrestling again?"
The board members didn't respond, but instead flashed a look of disapproval towards Dr. Spencer as he hunched back in his chair.
SISTER SIN: "That's correct. I have been signed with Level Up Wrestling under a developmental deal."
Sister Sin said finally breaking her silence.
