CAMERAMAN: "So is she going to say anything or just sit there?"
A camera man asked long time wrestling interviewer, Bella Saint Clair as he unpacked the filming equipment from his bag. Bella had known Sister Sin for a very long time, since the beginning of her wrestling career in fact, but even to her the behavior she was presenting seemed odd, even for her. Bella never liked Sister Sin, interviewing her was just another way she could dig deeper into her life in an attempt to out her as the narcissistic psychopath she always thought she was.
BELLA SAINT CLAIR: "You never know with this one, everything is a game to her. She tries to control any situation she is in, and always thinks she is the smartest person in the room....don't you Sin?"
Bella waited a moment for a response, but was surprised by Sister Sin's silence as she sat in a chair next to the window in her hotel room staring down at the busy streets below. Bella motioned for the camera man to continue unpacking his equipment as she pulled out her cell phone looking for any missed calls or messages she may have received on her way over to Sister Sin's hotel room. After her debuting match against Brandon Hendrix, Sister Sin seemed to be the talk of the wrestling world once again. She had done the impossible, she had beaten a man who was larger than her and outweighed her by easily one hundred pounds, but was followed up by a loss against Duncan Shepard.
Sister Sin had been away from wrestling going on almost three years, many had already forgotten the incident during her last match at OWF wrestling that got her committed to Highland Park Mental Institute, but Bella hadn't forgotten. Sister Sin's wrestling was a little unorthodox, bit skilled at the same time. She was always ruthless and calculating in the ring and was one of the most dangerous female wrestlers that Bella had ever seen in the squared circle. Lighting her opponent who also so happened to be her boyfriend on fire and sitting in the middle of the ring watching him burn and almost take his last breath until EMT's arrived took a very cold and disturbed individual.
The problem however, was that no one remembered that night or the incident. Sister Sin's adoptive parents were one of the wealthiest families in the world, using their money and influence they had paid nearly everyone off. Any footage of that night was no longer able to be found, people who were there watching the match were obviously paid well, claiming nothing of the sort ever occurred. Bella was the only person there that night that witnessed it and knew the truth, but she was never able to prove it and in time became a laughing stock in journalism, her peers always saying she made up the story for publicity in hopes that it would launch a career in television. The only other person that knew the truth about that night was Dr. Adam Spencer who had been treating Sister Sin at Highland Park Mental Institute.
After her release from the facility against Dr. Spencer's recommendation to keep her there for further evaluation and treatment he had spoken with Bella and agreed to help her in exposing the truth. He at the time was the only person with any footage from that night, footage that was given to him in order to help him study his patient. The problem now was that Dr. Spencer had gone rogue, his phone going straight to voicemail and not answering any text messages Bella had been sending him over the last week. Bella couldn't prove it, but she felt that Sister Sin had something to do with Dr. Spencer's disappearance and that was the only reason that she agreed to meet for an interview, hoping it would allow her to snoop around Sister Sin's hotel room for anything that might point her in the right direction.
BELLA SAINTCLAIR: "Are you ready to go live with your interview Sin?"
SISTER SIN: "Funny isn't it?"
Sister Sin said not taking her attention away from the window. Bella motioned for the camera man to begin rolling as she grabbed a microphone sitting in front of her, holding it away from her mouth. The camera man slung the large camera over his shoulder and gave Bella a thumbs up letting her know they had began filming.
BELLA SAINT CLAIR: "What's funny Sister Sin?"
SISTER SIN: "Life."
BELLA SAINT CLAIR: "How do you mean?"
Sister Sin pointed to a fly as it buzzed around the window constantly hitting the glass over and over again before hiding in a corner of the window seal.
SISTER SIN: "It's a lot like this fly, don't you think? We constantly try to escape to a place of normalcy, a place we are comfortable in, only to never find it, to be trapped until we give up or die. How everything at one time made complete sense, but now leaves us questioning everything."
BELLA SAINT CLAIR: "You seem a little off today Sin, a little more than usual. Is everything alright?"
SISTER SIN: "I don't know. Would you be alright if you just found out that the only person that had ever been there for you, the only person that ever understood who you were was nothing more than a figment of your imagination? An imaginary friend if you will that helped you cope with all the bad things in your life? You see that's who Opal was. She was my best friend, my only friend ever since my time in that foster home and she was the one thing that kept me from becoming the monster everyone has always said I was. She was the balance in my life, but now she is gone."
BELLA SAINT CLAIR: "I'm sorry, I have to admit that I am a bit confused. I thought you called us to cut a promo for your upcoming multiplayer match against Magdalena Lockheart, Don Tirri, Eli Goode & Duncan Shepard. I hate to break it to you, but I'm not a therapist, I can't help you with......well with whatever this is. The truth is, I'm not sure anyone can help you Sister Sin."
Sister Sin slowly spun around in the chair she was sitting in and grabbed Bella's wrists with her hand as she leaned forward, their faces only a few inches away from one another.
SISTER SIN: "That's what I am afraid of Bella. I'm afraid that now Opal is gone to keep the balance that I am finally going to become that monster that has fought to claw it's way out of me. I did the impossible, I beat Brandon Hendrix in my debut match, against all odds I beat him. I wanted to end his career, I wanted to make him suffer for not taking my hand when I offered it, but Opal, she told me not to, she told me to let him go, so I did."
BELLA SAINT CLAIR: "And what about Duncan Shepard, you lost to him in your second match at Level Up, but you have the opportunity to face him again in this multiplayer match."
SISTER SIN: "Aaaaaah...Duncan Shepard. It's funny how you think I lost to him, but in this business sometimes it's needed to take a loss in order to observe and dissect your opponent. Brandon Hendrix was the first person I wanted to recruit. I had seen him in matches in the past and was always impressed, unfortunately though he refused my hand when I offered it to him. Allowing someone to win in order to see if they would fit your agenda isn't always a loss, but an opportunity. Duncan Shepard does in deed have talent, but he doesn't have that dark side I am looking for, that evil side that would do anything to make it to the top in Level Up."
BELLA SAINT CLAIR: "So you're trying to recruit people is that it? For what purpose?"
Sister Sin finally let go of Bella's wrist and turned her attention back to the window scooping up the fly she had watched try to escape earlier into her hand. She held it gently at first between two of her fingers showing it to Bella.
SISTER SIN: "Level Up has potential to be one of the biggest promotions in the business, but can you imagine how much power those who ran, those who controlled it would have. Duncan Shepard just doesn't have what it takes to a part of my Covenant, he lacks the ability to dig deep into the darkness dwelling inside of him a truth I revealed during our match. He could have easily taken me out of the equation, but he didn't, he held back. Now it's time to show him who Sister Sin really is."
BELLA SAINT CLAIR: "Duncan Shepard will not be the only threat in the ring though, he will have team mates that will be assisting him, Magdalena Lockheart, Don Tirri, and Eli Goode."
Sister Sin let out a sinister chuckle shaking her head. She showed the fly between her fingers once again to Bella motioning for the camera man to zoom in on it.
SISTER SIN: "Threats you say? I see how someone could see them as such, but the truth is they are much like this fly. This fly is trapped in this room, constantly banging against the glass, but unable to reach it's true destination. Like this fly they will be trapped in the ring with me. They will try to escape, they will want to escape, but I will not let them. One by one they will attack, hoping to come together in order to defeat me. But like this fly the can be something special, something unique, until....."
Sister Sin took her other hand and with two fingers pulled a wing off of the fly as it buzzed and attempted to escape her fingers, but unable to wiggle free to safety. Tossing the insects wing to the ground she grabbed the other and pulled it off, her face showed no remorse even for an insect that posed no harm or threat to her. Leaned forward and placed the fly on the ground in front of the chair she was sitting in, it remained motionless unsure of what to do after being stripped of it's wings.
SISTER SIN: "Like this fly, I will pick them apart, one by one until the weakest of the group remains. It will be left in the ring with me, scared....hurt...confused and unsure of what to do. That is when I will show them who I am without direction, without a balance. That's when I will...."
Sister Sin quickly stomped on the fly as she looked into the camera. Her eyes were cold and dark, almost without a soul behind them.
SISTER SIN: "....End them of their misery."
BELLA SAINT CLAIR: "Strong words for your opponents, but what about your team mates?"
SISTER SIN: "Like my opponents they are irrelevant, at least until they show me who they truly are. I have watched some of their matches, some have the potential to find the dark passenger inside of them. The potential to be a part of my dark Covenant. They will have to prove themselves and once they do I will extend my hand to be sister or foe, the choice will of course be theirs and theirs alone. However, the offer will only be extended once."
BELLA SAINT CLAIR: "This Dark Covenant you keep talking about. Is this a faction you are trying to form?"
Sister Sin smiled shaking her head.
SISTER SIN: "Faction? Factions and stables have leaders, a covenant however is just a group who have the same goals. I would not lead those who want to find their dark passenger and let it free. No I would only help them guide it, direct it."
BELLA SAINT CLAIR: "This Opal that you spoke of, this imaginary friend. Was she who was keeping your dark passenger at bay?"
SISTER SIN: "She was, but Opal no longer exists. She was ripped away from me, the dark passenger inside of me no longer had anyone to guard them from coming out. The path of destruction we will leave in Level Up will be unheard of. It will be revolting, it will be disgusting, it will not be for the faint hearted. We will be respected. We will be loved. We will be feared."
With that knowing their time was up Bella Saint Clair motioned for the camera man to end filming and the screen went black.
