"I've never been more focused than I am right now, in my entire career. And that is very, very bad news for Duncan Shepard." We open on a shot of Sidroy Covington the Fourth sitting oceanside on a large plus towel, gazing out into the dusk night at ships as they sail by. The Wisdom Championship still sits proudly on his lap, leaning back gently with a subtle laugh.
"You know, it's been a wild ride as of late, in'it? The past few months I've faced LEGION, Dude WaLuigi, Jenny, Supreme Machine, The Faction... the list goes on and on. My recent opponent list looks more like an Arkham Asylum than it does a professional wrestling record - hell throw the fact that Ragdoll has been helping me out and I've surrounded myself but a three ring circus. I hadn't really noticed it until I sat and thought about my match on this EXP against current Power Champion Duncan Shepard. This is the first time in a long time, at least in my recent memory, that I've had a normal opponent. For that Duncan, I am incredibly, incredibly grateful. However, I am a bit steamed at one thing...
It's rather off-putting that I, the Level Up Wisdom Champion, have been given nothing but reject Rob Zombie villains. The most clean cut, well dressed, star-ready wrestler on the roster is put up against common filth a seven year old couldn't even dream up. My championship is all about prestige and honor, and those contending for it show nothing but the opposite. Yet the Power Champion - well he's getting all the top talent. Not only that but all the spotlight as well. He's been in the top five, dethroning me at number two. He represented Level Up in the Wrestlestock open, and claimed the victory. He has a nearly flawless record, won the skeleton key match, has traveled all around the world and won championships in most of them... on The Queen it begs the question - is there anything this man can't do??"
Sidroy's dour expression slowly morphs into a smirk, then a serious look. With his right hand he slowly raises the Wisdom Championship to the camera.
"There is one thing alright, and that's beat the Level Up Wisdom Champion... Sidroy, Covington, the Fourth." With a pause between each part of his name, Sidroy slowly lowers the belt back into he lap. Casually dusting the gold with his finger tips, he turns back to the camera.
"Now don't get it confused, I am by no means saying 'The Commander' isn't a serious challenge, because it's quite the opposite. In my professional opinion, and I'm not saying this to blow smoke up your arse, but you Duncan? May be my greatest challenge since LEGION. No disrespect to anyone I've vanquished since then, but I've watched you Duncan. I've studied the tapes and I keep tabs on what you're up to. I'd go out on a limb and say that in the next calendar year? You'll be holding the Final Boss Championship. Of course, that's only because I'll still be here defending my Wisdom Championship, but I think you're that good. I think you're a top guy. Hell, I'd go as far to say that out of everybody on this roster? You may be number two as far as competitors ready to be the face of Level Up.
And before we get further, just know Duncan that I have no qualms with you personally. You and I have a ton in common honestly, when you sit to think about it. We're both inaugural champions, we're both rocking impressive winning records, we're both looked at as the future of professional wrestling... we're not as different as you'd probably think. Of course there are glaring differences. I've been honing my craft to be the best in Level Up while you bounce around to any company looking for extra bodies. I have been held bam by The Developer and been thrown into disgusting matches with more repulsive people, while you get pandered to and handed whatever you want. I'm a handsome young man and you're a middle aged ugly SOB whose hairline looks like it's running away from his vomit-inducing gob... and the list goes on and on. But the point is this, if there is one person on the roster who I think deserves to share this ring with 'The Ever Fortunate' in the main event? It's you, Duncan.
However I guarantee you, this match isn't going to be like the rest of them. It won't be handed to you... because if you have a chance in hell of beating me it'll be when I'm on my way to be buried." Shaking his head Sidroy looks out at the boats one more before letting out a gentle sigh.
"Now I know I haven't had the most glamourizing last few months. I'll admit Jenny got into my head, Dude WaLuigi got into my head, and Barnabus has suddenly decided that HE'S going to tell me what I'M going to do? Cute, that's real cute by the way Barnabus - but that's a story got another time. Regardless, no matter the rough go I've had recently, I swear to you that I'm as focused as I've ever been. If you thought you were going to sneak in and embarrass me? Pull one over on me while I'm preoccupied? Well the call me Rob Halford Duncan, 'cuz I'm here for I tell you that you've got another thing coming. I finally got my revenge on Dude WaLuigi. I've vanquished Jenny once and for all, let's hope. I'm on the upswing, and I'll be damned if I'll let you ruin my moment. Moreover, I've been on a mission to make sure everybody on the Level Up rost-, no, everyone in the bloody wrestling world knows that I'm the top dog of Level Up. This Wisdom Championship? Is THE championship. So losing to you? Well, that'd ruin it all.
And I'll be damned if a brutish barbarian with the Power Championship is able to upset the tactical God that holds the Wisdom Championship. Brain over braun, my friend. And unfortunately I fear there's not much of a brain behind that enormous forehead of yours." Standing slowly, the lights from the boats begin to dim as it gets even darker outside.
"I will win this main event Duncan. It's written in the stats. It's destiny. You're more than welcome to give it your all, but I fear it'll be for not. Allow me to dumb it down for you, Duncan, and the shockingly somehow even dumber audience watching at home. Here you go.
Since Level Up loves its video games, let's give them the rub. You may be 'The Commander', Mr. Shepard... but at EXP 12?
I will conquer." Sidroy runs and slowly exits the scene as we fade to black.
