We see the start screen for a classic 8-bit video game menu for LVL UP WRESTLING come onto our screen. It says Press Start To Continue From Last Save Point. We do. And we see the screen static as the opening video package plays.
As the epic hype promo package from the Level Up Promo Team completes we see an outside shot of the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana! We cut to inside to the famous drone cam shot as it flies around the arena catching the fans, the excitement, and the sheer electricity in the air for the first night of this two night PPV Extravaganza! We see signs littering the crowd "WAHHH TAKING WAHHHOVVERR!!!", "Mr. Rad is My Dad!" ,"Tri To Force Me Outta My Seat", "Android 69? NICE!", "I bought this LVL UP T-shirt, and all I got was DISRESPECT!", "BUSTER GLOVES make me feel good!", "GAME CHANGERS: We're Changing Everything!"and many more as the we fly around and land at the commentary table. Arthur La Forge is wearing a black tuxedo like number with a sparkling gold bow tie. The suit jacket looking like his Captain N Letterman's Jacket he always wears. Next to him is Mary De Sue, dressed as Tao from "Shining Force". It's the infamous bikini swap costume from that game, but very glamorous in the design and materials. The two wave to the fans for a moment as the fanfare starts to die down.
Arthur La Forge: Welcome everyone to Final Fantasy Night Two! The Epic Year End Pay Per View of Level Up Wrestling! I'm Arthur La Forge, and with me as always is Mary DeSue and Mary...um...isn't that a little risque for Twitch?
Mary DeSue: I mean it's a Tifa Lockhart cosplay so...
Arthur La Forge: That's Tao from the Sega Genesis RPG "Shining Force"...
Mary DeSue: ...Oh...I'm never gonna hear the end of this am I?
Arthur La Forge: Well...um...I think you look lovely and it is an accurate cosplay!
Mary DeSue: Aw Artie...you just like my cleavage in this don't you.
Arthur La Forge: MOVING ON! Tonight is Night Two and if you thought we couldn't outdo Night One...Boy are you in for a shock or two! Starting off we got a Fatal Five Way between Nocturne, The Avenger, Ataxia, Brandon Hendrix, and Cypher!
Mary DeSue: This is bulls(bleep)! Why is a wrestler who rarely wins get a match with four guest wrestlers on Night Two when Victoria Salinas had to slum it on Night One?
Arthur La Forge: Take it up with "The Developer" he changes the schedule and books to his liking, and speaking of that. The next match on the card is a No DQ Match between Buster Gloves and HIS MONSTER!
Mary DeSue: That's gonna be a bloodbath!
Arthur La Forge: Somebodies gonna get the ever loving poop kicked out of them!
Mary DeSue: Ever...loving...poop...boy you really don't want us demonetized eh?
Arthur La Forge:Then we have our trio of single title defenses with Ahmya challenging Sidroy Covington The Forth for The Wisdom Title, Dionysus taking on "Queen Machine" Jenny for the Courage Title, and finally Larry Tact taking on Duncan Shepard for the Power Title
Mary DeSue: So many conflicted feelings on all of these matches, but none so much as our Main Event!
Arthur La Forge: Yeah and what a main event it is...Inside of that structure...
Arthur gestures to the triple cage high above the ring.
Arthur La Forge: The Pyramid Attack Match. Triple Cage. Weapons in the Middle Cage. The competitors have to start from the bottom, go retrieve the "Final Boss" title in the top of the cage and then get back to the first cage and escape with the belt to win!
Mary DeSue: I'm beginning to think the booker is a sadist...
Arthur La Forge: Our Final Boss Champion, Magdalena Lockheart will take on, for the second time, Bert McAlroy the winner of the Tri-Force Title Shot in this, what is sure to be, the match of the night! And with that folks let's get this party started!
---
Mr. Rad: Ladies and gentlemen we are kicking off night two of Final Fantasy in a HUGE WAY, because this match is scheduled for ONE FALL and it is for the WISDOM CHAMPIONSHIP!
Arthur La Forge: WHOA! That's huge!
Mary DeSue: Hey, they're starting with a title match. That's cool!
The lighting in the arena switches over to a light shade of blue as the uplifting tune of “Fighter” by Mika Nakashima begins to play, the fans looking on in anticipation while already showing their support vocally. As the spoken intro gives way to the beat kicking in, the cheers grow louder and Ahmya makes her way out onto the stage, clad in her chosen gear for the match, currently cloaked by her gorgeous ring coat. The young woman takes in a moment to soak in the adulation before heading down to the ring, a determined smile on her face. As she reached the apron, Ahmya gave it a gentle couple taps before hopping up and stepping towards the closest turnbuckle to her right.
Mr. Rad: Introducing first, the challenger and the winner of the Extra Lives Round Robin, weighing in at 120 pounds...from Zushi, Kanagawa, Japan, this is AHMYA!!!
Right on cue with the chorus kicking in, the mysterious young woman climbs up, taking a seat on the top turnbuckle, her gaze focused on the masses who continue to cheer her on. Soon after giving a quick wink, she hops down, now entering the ring and giving a bow of respect in the middle before removing her coat and handing it to the ring attendant. With her mind on the upcoming task, she flashes one final smile, this one filled with confidence, as the lighting returns to normal and her music fades to silence.
Arthur La Forge: Ahmya won all six matches in the round robin and when asked, said she wanted Sidroy Covington. Sidroy has been the Wisdom Champion since the belt's creation and has beat the likes of Legion, Lord Raab and Jenny to hang onto it.
Mary DeSue: And Ahmya just lost last night after getting kicked in the head by the Tirris! Sidroy hasn't wrestled since TriForce Heroes! I think the champ retains!
The sound of horns blowing can be heard for a few moments, signaling a request for silence. After a moment the voice of Sidroy's servitor Barnabus Cartwright can be heard booming through the microphone in a thick British accent.
Barnabus Cartwright: Please rise and remain silent as we welcome true, unbridled greatness in the form of man. Hailing from Knightsbridge, London England and now residing in Aberdeen Scotland, weighing in at 215 pounds, he is the pinnacle of Professional Wrestling, the undisputed king of the United Kingdom, the Golden God of the Granite City, the Absolute of Aberdeen, the youth of today and the face of tomorrow... and quite simply yet literally the greatest man to ever walk this earth... I am both honored and humbled to present to you, fourth of his name but first of his kind; YOUR Level Up Wrestling Wisdom Champion..."Ever Fortunate" Sidroy Covington the Fourth!
The horns blow once more and fade into the horns of 'You Wish' by Skepta. Two spotlights circle the entrance area, and a moment Sidroy Covington IIII emerges with a smile, spreading his arms wide to present himself fully to the on lookers. He basks in his own glory for a moment before bowing, removing his embroidered towel as he does. He then slings it back of his neck, and makes his way to the ring rolling his wrists and occasionally waving to the crowd who has no interest in him, but still making sure to stay dead center of the walk way as to not allow them to be able to reach him if they so desired. He walks up the steps and holding the ropes as he wipes his feet before leaping over the top rope and landing on the second rope in the corner. He surveys the crowd and removes his towel once more, giving his impressive physique a dab with it before hopping down and passing his towel to his Barnabus.
Arthur La Forge: Folks, you may think that fancy introduction is just for Final Fantasy, but Sidroy just goes the extra mile with that sort of thing.
Mary DeSue: YOUR Wisdom Champion! Once, present and future champion! Go Siddy!
Ahmya offers a handshake as a show of respect and perhaps surprisingly, Sidroy accepts it. The two begin to pace each other around the ring after the bell rings. Sidroy goes for the first strike, a forearm, but Ahmya blocks it. She then hits him with a series of open-handed palm strikes to the face, jarring the champion and backing him into the corner. She grabs him and attempts an Irish Whip to the opposite side of the ring, but Sidroy uses his size advantage to reverse it. Sidroy then runs in for an attack but Ahmya pushes herself up off the ropes, hooks her ankles around his head and flips him over with a headscissors! He gets up in the corner to recover, so The Roundest Robin runs in to hit something, but this time Covington gets a boot to her face to knock her to the ground. He then scoops up Ahmya and gets behind her, before throwing her backward with a dragon suplex! With a bridge!
ONE!
TW--no! Ahmya is out at One!
Arthur La Forge: Ahmya got dropped on her head there but still rolled out of the pinning attempt. It's still very early.
Mary DeSue: It's been back and forth so far, sure, but Sidroy has beat a lot tougher than Ahmya!
Arthur La Forge: I would argue there are very few people on our roster tougher than Ahmya.
Mary DeSue: I guess you're right. She does have to put up with Bert on a daily basis.
Sidroy lifts up Ahmya and places her in the corner, he takes a few steps back, then runs into hit a European uppercut, smashing her against the corner. He runs, stops himself at the opposite end, then runs in for another uppercut but Ahmya leaps up and drives her knees into the face of Covington. Sidroy takes a step back, dazed, and Ahmya hooks his arms...before hitting a dragon suplex of her own! She doesn't bridge, but instead moves around and applies pressure to Sidroy's trapezius with a hold, forcing him up to relieve it. She then hooks his arms again and hits another one! Ahmya applies the trapezius hold again, and again Sidroy is getting forced to his feet, but when she attempts to hook the arms for a third dragon suplex, Sidroy drops back down to his knees and flips her over with a snapmare. He hooks her arms and lifts her up for a dragon suplex of his own, but she jumps up and hooks him with her legs, rolling forward into a wheelbarrow pin!
ONE!
TWO!
T--Sidroy kicks out!
Arthur La Forge: It seems like Sidroy and Ahmya both have answers for whatever the other can come up with!
Mary DeSue: Sid is a prodigy, he always researches his opponents. And well...Ahmya hasn't been beaten one on one in months.
Arthur La Forge: Wow, I can't believe you gave her credit.
Mary DeSue: I mean, facts are facts. I still don't like her taste in men.
Ahmya looks down at Sidroy attempting to get herself up and thinks she might have a golden opportunity. She steadies herself and jumps off for HAIL's BLESSING...but no! Sidroy rolls out of the way and Ahmya lands on her feet! But when she turns around, Sidroy connects with an enziguri! Ahmya staggers for a bit and then loses her footing, falling to a sitting position. Sidroy runs at the ropes and comes back, hitting a low dive and a European uppercut! He rocked the challenger and covers!
ONE!
TWO!
NO! Ahmya gets her shoulder up! Covington scoops her up and goes behind with the reverse waistlock, looking for a German suplex, but Ahmya attempts another wheelbarrow roll....NO! Sidroy hangs on and flings her backward with a wheelbarrow German suplex! The champion floats over into a cover!
ONE!
TWO!
THr--no! Ahmya kicks out again!
Mary DeSue: Count FASTER, referee!
Arthur La Forge: Ahmya is proving resilient here tonight. Sidroy may not have an answer for her!
Mary DeSue: Just kick her in the head, that's what Donny did!
Covington gets up and raises three fingers to referee Crash Cortex, who tells him it was only two. He pushes himself up and grabs the challenger, before tossing her through the ropes to the outside. He follows through himself to meet her, before attempting to throw her into the guardrail. However, Ahmya shows her agility by leaping up onto the rail and then jumping off with a forearm! The crowd applauds the move and both competitors. Ahmya gets up and bows to them in a show of respect.
Mary DeSue: Oh puke. Don't pay attention to them, you're in a title match!
Arthur La Forge: The fans are loving this match so far. What a way to kick off night two of Final Fantasy!
Ahmya uses pressure points and joint manipulation to force Sidroy to his feet and to get him in the ring. She then climbs up top and turns to face Sidroy as he tries to get up. She jumps off for a missile dropkick drops out of the way and she lands hard on the canvas! Sidroy then grabs Ahmya and rolls her into a cradle, before getting up with her head still in a front facelock, smoothly transitioning to a suplex, but instead of dropping back he places her back up top! He climbs up with her, looking behind him, as it seems he has something big planned. But Ahmya isn't going to let him complete his plan, as she begins firing off jabs to the stomach to stop it. Sidroy takes all the fight out of her with a sharp headbutt! The move almost immediately causes a knot to form on Ahmya's head, and gives Sidroy a tiny cut on his own. He lifts her into a powerbomb position, as he might want an Avalanche version of The Collapse...but Ahmya slips through and trips his legs, causing him to fall chest-first onto the top turnbuckle! She then goes through the ropes, back up top and BRINGS SIDROY DOWN WITH A SUNSET BOMB! THE COVER!
ONE!
TWO!
THRE---NO! Sidroy gets a foot on the ropes!
Arthur La Forge: Ahmya just nearly took the Wisdom title from Sidroy with that counter!
Mary DeSue: Yeah but she DIDN'T. Our Siddy is still the champion!
Arthur La Forge: They're both taking punishment as good as they're getting it, this is a war of attrition!
Ahmya climbs back up to the rope again, and it seems she might finally try for the Hail's Blessing again, but Sidroy is already staggering back up. So instead she jumps off with a Metora and COVINGTON CATCHES HER! He wants the Collapse, but his legs are unsteady and instead drops her against the ropes! She staggers back, holding her windpipe, and Sidroy gets her in a fireman's carry to hit the PENALTY KICK! Ahmya crumbles to the mat!
ONE!
TWO!
Thr--Now Ahmya gets a foot on the ropes!
Arthur La Forge: Trading signature moves here, they're starting to really wear each other down!
Mary DeSue: She got lucky! If those ropes weren't there...
Arthur La Forge: Sidroy just used the ropes earlier!
Sidroy points at Ahmya and once she's up, wobbly, he jumps up for a Covington Cave-In, but she drops down and he lands behind her on his feet! He makes up for it by hitting a mule kick to the back of her head to keep her from gaining any momentum. Sidroy then turns around and grabs the arm, trapping it and then applying the FFB! Ahmya seemingly has nowhere to go, but she begins to wiggle around and move to the ropes, trying to get a foot on the bottom one. She can barely touches it, but uses it to bounce off and roll through the FFB, before twisting her body around and locking Sidroy in the Oyasuminasai!!!
Arthur La Forge: She countered his submission hold and applied her own! And I don't know if anyone's escaped it!
Mary DeSue: She's had a counter for almost everything he's tried tonight!
Arthur La Forge: She came here to outwrestle the man and win his title, and she just might if Covington taps out!
Ahmya doesn't quite have the leverage she may usually want, which is why in spite of his face turning bright red, Covington becomes a big strong boi and powers her up, while still being choked, and DROPS HER DOWN INTO THE COLLAPSE! He grabs the legs and stacks her up into a Jackknife pin!
ONE!
TWO!
THR--NO!!! Ahmya kicks out and transitions immediately back into the Oyasuminasai! She wraps her legs completely around Sidroy and squeezes the neck! Sidroy is completely trapped now, but he still tries to power her up...but this time he falls back down!!
Arthur La Forge: Sidroy's fading! The crowd is getting antsy!
Mary DeSue: Come on Siddy!!!
Referee Crash gets in there and checks Sid, who is refusing to tap out and relinquish his belt. He attempts one last lift with a burst of energy, but Ahmya is squeezing the veins in his neck and cutting off the blood flow, so he can barely lift even the 120 pound body of his challenger up in to the air. He flops down. The referee gets in there and asks and Sidroy is unresponsive! He lifts the arm...
It falls once.
Twice.....
AND IT FALLS FOR A THIRD TIME! SIDROY COVINGTON HAS PASSED OUT!!
Mr. Rad: Your winner by knockout...and the NEWWWWWWWWWW Level Up Wrestling Wisdom Champion.....AHHHHHHHHHMYA!!!
Arthur La Forge: She did it! Ahmya has become the new Wisdom Champion!
Mary DeSue: But Sidroy didn't tap! HE DID NOT TAP OUT!
Arthur La Forge: No he did not. Sidroy fought valiantly but Ahmya squeezed until he couldn't stay awake. He has nothing to be ashamed of tonight.
Bert McAlroy comes out in street clothes to the cheers of the fans and slides into the ring, helping Ahmya up. Suddenly Bert is on the defensive as Sidroy has come to and is on his feet, snatching the belt away from the referee, who was on his way to give it to the new champion.
Arthur La Forge: Come on, Sid...
Mary DeSue: It's not fair! He didn't do anything wrong!
Sidroy looks at the belt for a moment, sighs, and then walks over to Ahmya, handing it over to her. He then raises the new champion's hand to roars of approval from the audience! Bert pats Sidroy on the back in a show of respect and Covington nods, before heading to the back.
Arthur La Forge: Well, that's unexpected, but good on Sidroy! At the start of his run here, I don't think you would have seen that level of sportsmanship!
Mary DeSue: See? He's a nice guy! I told you!
As Covington heads up the ramp and Bert and Ahmya celebrate in the ring...suddenly the cheers turn to boos as Larry Tact, Victoria Salinas and The Faction come through the crowd! They run to the ring and each step up onto it, one for each side, staring down the former multiplayer champions.
Arthur La Forge: What the hell is this?
Mary DeSue: It's a game changer night! Just like last night! Time to go bye bye, Bertie!
Before Bert and Ahmya can even react, all four wrestlers climb into the ring and attack! It's an absolute 4-on-2 mugging as Tact and Salinas tee off on Bert while the Faction mercilessly club Ahmya down to the canvas!
Mary DeSue: YES! CHRISTMAS CAME LATE BUT IT'S HERE!
Arthur La Forge: Shut up, Mary! This isn't right! Ahmya just wrestled and Bert has a match later!
The Faction hold up Ahmya after beating her up, and Salinas moves around to lift up Bert...VANITY BREAKER! She then picks up McAlroy and holds him in position, as Larry Tact pulls out the 'Wand' he stole from James Wilcox last night! From the ramp, Sidroy looks on, unsure of what to do. The crowd is demanding that he go down and help but he seems to be worried…
Arthur La Forge: Sidroy! Get in there damn it! Larry's going to end Bert's career! And probably Ahmya's too!
Mary DeSue: Good! That's how you CHANGE the GAME!
Before Sidroy can make a decision, DUNCAN SHEPARD starts storming out from the back, Power Championship in tow! He only stops briefly to give Sidroy an angry look before charging down to the ring! He tackles Tact and they begin to brawl, while Bert gets free of Salinas! The Faction immediately let go of Ahmya and target Bert, with the two behemoths Drake and ISAAC beating him down. Salinas runs and kicks Ahmya in the head to keep her down, then slides out and grabs a chair! She then gets in the ring and CLOBBERS SHEPARD WITH THE CHAIR TO SAVE TACT!
Arthur La Forge: Duncan Shepard came out to help and he's paying for it! And he's got to face Tact later tonight!
Mary DeSue: That's what he gets! He should have stayed out of it!
Sidroy keeps watching and after seeing the chair shot, has decided he has had enough! SIDROY COVINGTON RACES DOWN THE RAMP TO THE ROARS OF THE AUDIENCE!
Arthur La Forge: Sidroy Covington has seen enough! HE DOES HAVE A CONSCIENCE!
Mary DeSue: Come on Sid, we knew you were nice, you didn't have to do this!
Salinas is the first to charge at Sidroy but catches the COVINGTON CAVE-IN! ISAAC attempts a lariat but gets hith a pele kick and then a BIOTIC CHARGE from Shepard! Drake grabs Sidroy and attempts a headhunter, but Sidroy shoves him off into a BONG WATER from McAlroy! Sidroy turns around and...LARRY TACT HITS HIM IN THE KNEE WITH THE WAND! Sidroy Covington immediately collapses to the mat in pain! That allows the Faction to each pull out Duncan Shepard and pull him through the ropes, grabbing him and HITTING A DOUBLE CHOKESLAM ON THE FLOOR! Duncan immediately coughs up blood, which is not a good sign. They leave the Power champion laying there and it looks like Bert and Ahmya are once again the targets, until sirens flash on the tron and a swarm of referees, security, agents and WaLuigis all rush down to break things up!
Arthur La Forge: Finally, some order is being restored here, but oh my god, Sidroy and Duncan may be seriously hurt.
Mary DeSue: They WEREN'T the targets! If they minded their own business, only Bert would be hurt!
The Game Changers decide that for now, they should avoid attacking the entire security staff of Level Up and decide to leave. EMTS rush out to check on Sidroy, who can't put any weight on his leg. Bert checks on Ahmya. More EMTs check on the Power Champion, who is up in a sitting position and having trouble breathing. Cameras overhear one of the of the EMTs say it might be a pulmonary contusion from the impact. Bert and Ahmya decide to help Sidroy and begin to carry the former Wisdom Champion to the back. As they do, they check on Duncan and EMTs assure the pair they will handle it. Bert, Ahmya and Sidroy leave through the side exit next to the ramp, as the Game Changers are forced to the back.
Arthur La Forge: Well folks, it looks like our Power Champion might not be on the show tonight.
Mary DeSue: And poor Siddy might not be on shows for a while.
Arthur La Forge: This really is a shame. We had an exciting title match, and that damn Tact and his team just ruined everything.
Mary DeSue: Bert McAlroy ruined everything by disrespecting Tact over and over! If you want to blame anyone, blame him!
Duncan is helped to his feet by the medical technicians, although he's clearly in rough shape and easily winded. The crowd begins to applaud him for his efforts, but immediately boo as Tact makes his way back out with a microphone!
Larry Tact: It seems like you've been so concerned with your broken ass trailer trash home, and settling into your new home that you're leaving yourself open at your work home.
You know, between the parking lot brawl with Mags, and the way you try discarding Power rules matches... I wonder if you really did come to Level Up for the Power title, or if you're just a glory hog son of a bitch!
You can say all you want about 'what it takes' to hold onto that title, one that the Developer gifted their favorite son... OR you can show me what your vision of the Power title truly is. Because I'm ready to rip that title for my own, take it over the new horizon, and show Level Up what the Power title should be.
Arthur La Forge: He can't be serious? Duncan might have internal injuries!
Mary DeSue: Is he a defending champion or not! He agreed to face Larry and now it's time t put up or shut up!
Duncan takes a moment to think about it, but then immediately begins to nod!
Arthur La Forge: WHAT? Shepard agrees?
Mary DeSue: Idiot!
Arthur La Forge: We're going to take a brief ad break folks but when we come back...apparently we're having a Power title match!
---
Duncan is trying to put on a brave face but he's clearly not right after the impact of the Faction's attack, and that's immediately apparent when he's unable to counter a haymaker from Tact that knocks him down to a knee. Tact then clubs Shepard with a forearm across the back of the neck and head.
Arthur La Forge: This is not good. Shepard suffered some kind of injury in that attack and he should not be wrestling.
Mary DeSue: Nobody's making him! He accepted the challenge!
Arthur La Forge: Somebody should have stopped him! Titles come and go but your health is most important!
Tact lifts Shepard up and places him in the corner, before beginning to hammer at him with a series of shots to the chest and abdomen, hoping to worsen Shepard's breathing. Shepard finally manages to block one before unleashing a desperation KROGAN HANDSHAKE! The headbutt connects flush with Tact and forces him to take a few steps back, just for Shepard to jump forward and hit the BIOTIC CHARGE! COVER!
ONE!
TWO!!
THR--NO! Tact kicks out!
Arthur La Forge: Commander Shepard nearly upset Tact there! He's still got some fight in him!
Mary DeSue: That would have been devastating! Maybe he's only pretending to be hurt?
Arthur La Forge: Ridiculous. But he's definitely trying to push through it and time his moves carefully.
Shepard is moving slowly still and when he reaches down to lift Tact up, he's immediately winded. This isn't helped when Tact kicks him in the chest. As Shepard struggles to breathe, Tact simply lifts him up and hits a full nelson slam, dropping him right down to the mat again. Shepard begins violently coughing again but Tact ignores it and goes for a cover.
ONE!
TWO!
TH--Shepard gets a shoulder up.
Arthur La Forge: Shepard is hurt, there's no question about it. And Tact has no problem capitalizing on it.
Mary DeSue: Wouldn't you?
Arthur La Forge: No Mary, I wouldn't. Because I'm a decent human being.
Mary DeSue: Pfft, gotta look out for yourself, that's what I always say.
Undeterred from the kickout, Tact hits a big leg drop across the chest of Shepard and once again covers.
ONE!
TWO!
NO! Shepard kicks out again, a little more forcefully this time. Tact lifts him up and proceeds to throw him outside the ring, while the crowd continues to shower him with boos. Shepard is struggling to get up to his feet and is grasping at the ring skirt to try and find some assistance. He finds the help he needs after Tact jumps down to grab him, as he pulls a WRENCH out from under the ring and hits Tact in the side of the head with it! Tact stumbles backward, immediately bleeding, and Shepard swings again, connecting with a wrench shot to the ribs! Tact doubles over from the pain and Shepard swings the wrench down across his back! After evening the odds a bit, Shepard tosses the wrench aside and applies Neural Shock to Tact! The dragon sleeper is locked in, but not for long as Shepard hits OVERLOAD ON THE FLOOR! COVER!
ONE!
TWO!
THRE--NO! Tact barely kicks out!
Arthur La Forge: Shepard has evened the playing field!
Mary DeSue: He used a weapon! That's not fair!
Arthur La Forge: Not only are there no rules, but Tact had help attacking Shepard before they were even scheduled to fight. Miss me with that 'not fair' BS.
Mary DeSue: Damn Artie, when did you get some bass in your voice?
Shepard, with some difficulty, lifts Tact up and hits him with a punch to the stomach. He then gets him in position for the Reaper's Bane, but he can't quite lift Tact up and is forced to drop him. Tact runs with Shepard and shoves him back first into the ringpost! Shepard goes down and Tact covers!
ONE!
TWO!
Th--NO! Another kick out. Tact rolls Shepard over right on the floor and begins to smash him with knee shots to the upper back, right near the lungs. He hits several shots, one, two, three, four, before getting up and grabbing a chair from ringside. He rolls Shepard over and places the chair across his chest, before climbing up to the ring apron.
Arthur La Forge: Oh no...I don't want to know what's about to happen here.
Mary DeSue: A new champion, that's what!
Tact jumps off the apron with a DIVE TO BLUE on the floor, but Shepard is able to move out of the way at the last second! TACT ELBOW DROPS THE CHAIR! He gets up, clutching his arm in pain and Shepard grabs the chair and SMASHES IT ACROSS HIS SKULL! The chair bends on Tact's head and he falls down to the floor immediately! Shepard falls down on top!
ONE!
TWO!
THREE--NO! TACT BARELY SLIPS A SHOULDER OFF THE FLOOR!
Arthur La Forge: I would not have expected this match to have lasted as long as it has with Duncan's injury, but Shepard is proving that he's a strategist as well as a fighter!
Mary DeSue: He's using weapons! He wouldn't be able to do this if it were normal rules!
Arthur La Forge: I think so! He's waiting for Tact to make mistakes and capitalizing on them. All he has to do is weather the offense and he might have a chance.
Mary DeSue: He can't even lift him for the Reaper's Bane, so I doubt it.
Shepard opens up a chair and sets it down. As Tact begins to stand, wearing a crimson mask, Shepard hits a drop toehold! The move causes Tact to smack the open chair face first, and he stumbles backward into a rollup!
ONE!
TWO!
THr--NO! Tact again pushes out! Shepard doesn't seem bothered, as he makes a slashing motion around his throat and prepares to try the Reaper's Bane again! He hooks the leg and head for the fisherman's falcon arrow, but Tact hits him with a rarely seen heart punch and that knocks all the fight out of him! Shepard is struggling to recover and Tact grabs him and throws him back first into the guardrail! Tact decides he wants to pin Shepard elsewhere, so he throws him in the ring, along with the open chair. Surprisingly, the chair lands upright. Tact slides in and looks at Shepard for a brief moment, then lifts him up and hits the STARBREAKER!!!!
Arthur La Forge: Oh my god! Of all moves, not that one!
Mary DeSue: His knees went right into Shepard's back!
Shepard is down, and once again coughs up a bit of blood. Tact yells at him to stay down and immediately covers.
ONE!
TWO!!
THREe--NO!!! DUNCAN SHEPARD KICKS OUT!
Arthur La Forge: I can't believe it! The champion refuses to quit!
Mary DeSue: He should! I don't want to be a witness to a murder!
Tact scoots away from Shepard, completely shocked that he couldn't put him away with his finish. Shepard, meanwhile, with blood oozing down his chin, begins reaching to the ropes in an attempt to pick himself up. Tact angrily does that for him, lifting him to his feet and preparing for another Starbreaker....BUT Shepard backdrops him out of it! Shepard uses whatever energy he has left to run off the ropes and nearly cuts Tact in half with a BIOTIC CHARGE! The spear turns Tact inside out! Shepard yells out to the crowd, then coughs, and grabs Tact for the Reaper's Bane! He struggles and begins to lift Tact up....and then COLLAPSES, WITH TACT ON TOP.
Arthur La Forge: Oh no. He pushed himself too far.
Mary DeSue: This is bad. I want Tact to win and all but yeah, this is bad.
Shepard is coughing and wheezing, struggling to get any air into his lungs, as he has definitely worsened the injury. Tact immediately gets up and grabs Shepard...AND HITS THE HUMBLING ON THE OPEN CHAIR! THE URANAGE SUPLEX CAUSES THE CHAIR TO COLLAPSE, AND POSSIBLY SHEPARD'S BODY! Tact drops down and covers the champion...
ONE!
TWO!!
THREE!!!
Mr. Rad: Here is your winner and the NEWWWWWWWWWWWW Level Up Wrestling Power Champion.....LARRY TACT!
Arthur La Forge: Damn it! I had hoped Shepard was going to pull it off. He looked like he might a couple of times there.
Mary DeSue: Change is inevitable, Artie! And The Game Changers just picked up their first title!
Arthur La Forge: Yeah, and it took giving the man an injury before the match even began to do it!
Mary DeSue: Shepard wouldn't even BE injured if he didn't stick his nose into Tact's business!
The rest of the Game Changers come out to gloat with Larry Tact, standing over the body of Duncan Shepard. Whether or not the Game Changers would have tried to hurt him more, we'll never know, because EMILY SIMMS comes storming out from the back with a lead pipe! She slides into the ring and gets between the group and Shepard, who is just starting to come to. Drake and ISAAC step forward, not caring about the weapon, but Tact calls them off. The Game Changers leave, as they have what they wanted.
Arthur La Forge: Thank god Emily Simms came out.
Mary DeSue: Yeah, for Shepard's sake. But Tact got what he wanted, there was no need to do anything else.
Arthur La Forge: Doesn't mean he wouldn't. Shepard will hopefully recover quickly and we'll see a rematch when he's healthy.
Mary DeSue: Yeah right, like Tact is EVER going to lose that Power title!
EMTs come out to help Shepard to the back as we go to an ad break.

Mr. Rad: The following contest is the Fatal Five Way Match...Introducing the first competitor in this Fatal Fiv...Fiveway Match...He is "The Savior Of The Multiverse"...My favorite Superhero..."The Avenger"!
The lights go out as Bonnie Tyler's "Holding Out For A Hero" begins to play, with spotlights searching the rafters for the hero.
Where have all the good men gone
And where are all the gods?
Where's the street-wise Hercules
To fight the rising odds?
Finally every light converges onto the ramp, and the color turns to green with the symbol of the Avenger appearing on the video wall.
Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed?
Late at night I toss and I turn, I dream of what I need
Right as Bonnie says, "I need a hero!", The Avenger races out on a stylish green and black motorcycle, with his logo plastered on the front. He circles the ring with it, passing by the announce tables and fans, before parking it back on the ramp and hopping off. He then leaps up on to the apron and darts up the turnbuckle, holding out a big thumbs up for the audience before jumping back into the ring to prepare for his match.
Arthur La Forge: The Greatest Superhero in all of professional wrestling is here!!
Mary DeSue: As if we didn't have enough method cosplayers in the building...
Mr. Rad: Introducing next...He is simply, like me, "The Superior Design" Cypher!!
"Cut the Cord" by Shinedown by Shinedown starts to play as Cypher walking thru carrying a overly gaudy hand mirror as he checks out his hair. A lot of the Level Up fans are up, some cheering and a lot of them are booing, at the former e-sports superstar turned professional wrestler. He walks down to the ring not touching any of the fans who have their arms out to him and looks over at "The Avenger" and laughs.
Arthur La Forge: A former E-Sports Icon has made the transition to pro wrestling. This place is a perfect fit for Cypher...
Mary DeSue: Yeah, but his twitch channel sucks...
Don’t be mistaken, your bloody time’s up…
This ain’t no game, we’re not here to entertain you!
The opening riffs of “Entertain You” by Within Temptation echo within the Gainbridge Fieldhouse as Nocturne emerges from the locker room, garbed in black with midnight blue highlights. After a few more moments, she takes off at a sprint towards the ring, jumping up to vault between the bottom two strands and tucking into a roll before popping to her feet, looking ready for a fight on Level Up’s biggest stage.
Mr. Rad: From the Edge of Deepest Midnight, weighing 137 pounds…Nocturne!!
Arthur La Forge: Whomever they are under that mask they are without a doubt one of the hardest working members of our roster...
Mary DeSue: Yeah...hard work staying on your back all the time.
Nocturne looks over at Cypher who smirks at her as Avenger walks over to give Nocturne a handshake. She accepts and Cypher just laughs...the laughter stops suddenly when the lights go out and...
"DIE DIE DIE MY DARLING!!!"
The lights come back up as a long black coffin slides down the ramp towards the ring...
"DIE DIE DIE MY DARLING!!
DON'T UTTER A SINGLE WOOOORRDD!!
DIE DIE DIE MY DARLING!!
JUST SHUT YOUR PRETTY EYES!!!
I'LL BE SEEING YOU AGAIIIINNN!!!
YEAH...I'LL BE SEEING YOU AGAINNN!!!
IN HELLL!!!!
The coffin lid explodes and flying out of it, springboarded into the ring is Ataxia. Full suit and mask. He twists and turns in the air and lands with a bow in the center of the ring. Cypher backs away a bit seeing this weirdo emerge while Nocturne and The Avenger stare at him, seeming to know of Ataxia's reputation. Ataxia smiles and middle fingers toward the audience as a chorus of boo's start.
Mr. Rad: Hailing from who the hell knows or cares...He is "The Messiah Pariah"...Ataxia!!
Arthur La Forge: And that's...there are no words for this lunatic really.
Mary DeSue: I got a few but Twitch paid me fifty bucks not to say any of them.
"In My Zone" by Rittz ft. Mike Posner & B.o.B starts to play...All four wrestlers turn to the entrance way to await the last opponent...
Mr. Rad: And finally...Welcome back...BRANDON HENDRIX!!!
Hendrix comes rushing out of the back and charges toward the ring. Looking very much different from the last time he was in Level Up. He slides into the ring and screams out to the fans chanting "Welcome Back! Welcome Back! Welcome Back!"
Arthur La Forge: Welcome back to Brandon Hendrix!
Mary DeSue: Wow...he's actually really good looking withou the mask...
DING!DING!DING!
A hush falls over the crowd as all five wrestlers eye one another. Each with something to prove and nothing really to lose. Who will make the first move? The camera pans to Hendrix, to Cypher, to Nocturne, to Avenger, and it stops on Ataxia who winks at Avenger and charges at him with a Lou Thez Press! Nocturne charges at Cypher with a spinning heel kick! Cypher hits the mat. Nocturne turns, only to get a Big Boot to the face from Hendrix! Ataxia is on top of Avenger, hitting the superhero with rights and lefts, and Avenger turns over Ataxia to where Ataxia is on his back. Avenger starts punching Ataxia to. Hendrix walks over and grabs Avenger from behind and lifts him up. German Suplex! Cypher gets up about the same time as Nocturne and the "E-Sports Superstar" runs forward and hits double knee facebuster on the mystery woman of the night! Hendrix gets up and see's Ataxia, on his back, get up on his hands and knee's and start crawling towards him. Freaking out slightly Hendrix back up into Cypher! Cypher turns...Jumping Knee To The Skull of Cypher from Hendrix! Ataxia kips up and leaps onto Hendrix's back. He locks on a hammerlock with one arm and with the other Ataxia reaches around with a mandible claw to the mouth of Hendrix! Wrapping his legs around the waist of Hendrix, Ataxia looks to be trying to take down the big man with one of Ataxia's unorthodox submission holds known as "The Hungarian Reach Around!". Avenger gets up and upon seeing the carnage in the ring rushes to the turnbuckle. As Hendrix turns, flailing to get Ataxia off of his back, Avenger leaps forward with a springboard forearm to the neck of Hendrix. Hendrix falls, crushing Ataxia under him as he falls. Everyone stays down for a moment as the crowd chants for the action in the ring.
"THIS IS AWESOME!! THIS IS AWESOME!!
Arthur La Forge: And this bought is full of heavy hitting action tonight!
Mary DeSue: It's hard to keep track of what's going on.
Avenger kips up and when he does so does Nocturne. The two eye each other and hit the ropes, both gaining speed before trying to take the other down. Nocturne going for a flying clothesline, and The Avenger going for low dropkick. Both miss, flip over, and come up with their arms up. The fans eat this up as Cypher gets up and looks at the two of them going "hey leave me outta this" and both Nocturne and Avenger turn and hit duel superkicks on Cypher sending him to the outside of the ring! They both kip back up and get taken down by a charnging Hendrix with a double clothesline! Cypher is down on the outside and starts to get up from the shot, grabbing his jaw, when he stops. There in front of him is Ataxia who waves at him. Cypher waves back and then kicks Ataxia in the gut! SPINNING DDT!! Hendrix see's Cypher standing up on the outside and runs to the ropes on the other side of the ring. He charges forward and SUICIDE DIVE ONTO CYPHER!!! Avenger and Nocturne start to get up and see the pile up of Hendrix and Cypher. Nocturne charges to the ropes and leaps off hitting a beautiful moonsault onto the downed opponents. Not to be outdone, The Avenger, heads up top and hits a frog splash onto the every growing pile of bodies. Ataxia gets up shaking his head and see's the pile. He leaps up to the ring apron, then to the first rope, the second rope, the tope rope, and flies back with a springboard 450 Splash onto the pile!
Arthur La Forge: I've heard of a dogpile but this is ridiculous.
Mary DeSue: yeah and all of them are b(bleep)itches!
Cypher is the first up and he grabs Ataxia and throws him into the ring. Cypher picks up the bag headed wrestler and throws him into the ropes. Cypher looks to be setting up for a back body drop, but Ataxia stops, drops, and reaches up and backhands Cypher in the face! "HAI FRAND!", and Ataxia kips back up, just in time to see the other three wrestlers get into the ring. Hendrix charges in first and hits Ataxia with a kick to the gut! "Death Charge"! Hendrix gets up and see's The Avenger up top. Avenger flies off the top rope hitting "Superhero Landing"! Avenger kips back up and charges Hendrix with a dropkick to the knee! Nocturne goes up top and see's Ataxia still down..."Nocturnal Eclipse"!!! Nocturne gets up and Avenger meets her with a flying forearm! Cypher, grabs his mirror from ringside and gets into the ring. He plants the mirror in the center and picks up Ataxia..."GAME OVER"!!! After hitting Ataxia he lands headfirst, smashing the mirror!! Cover...

Mr. Rad: Ataxia has been eliminated!!!
Arthur La Forge: And the masked maniac is out of the building...Thank God!
Mary DeSue: That submission he was going for...What is a "Hungarian Reach Around"?
Arthur La Forge: DO NOT GOOGLE THAT!!
Ataxia gets rolled out of the ring by Cypher as he trashtalks Ataxia, not noticing behind him is Hendrix! Cypher turns and gets headbutted down to the mat! Nocture and Avenger are trading heroic punches back and forth as Hendrix yells at them to get out of the way! He grabs Cypher..."Hendrix Law"!!! Hendrix kips up to the cheers of the crowd. Nocturne jumps up top and hits a split legged moonsault on Cypher!! The Avenger holds his hand up high and reaches down grabbing Cypher by the throat...CHOKESLAM!! CHOKESLAM BY THE SUPERHERO!! Nocturne takes the moment to charge Avenger and hit him with a spinning heel kick. Hendrix reaches down and grabs Cypher..."FALL OF THE GAURD"!!! Cover by Hendrix...

Mr. Rad: Cypher has been eliminated!!!
Arthur La Forge: Well I guess he didn't "git good" enough did he?
Mary DeSue: Bye bye E-Thot!
Cypher is arguing with the referee, Kirby, that he kicked out on the outside when he feels a tap on his shoulder. He turns. He see's Hendrix charging back to the ropes...BIG BOOT OVER THE TOP ROPE! Cypher is down on the mat on the outside. The fans start shouting for Hendrix...
"YOU STILL GOT IT!!! YOU STILL GOT IT!!
Cypher yells at the fans who are giving him shit near ringside as he makes his way to the back. Hendrix turns to see Avenger and Nocturne trading punches again. Hendrix charges forward and hits Avenger with a massive uppercut that sends the superhero flying over the top rope and he lands on the guardrail! Hendrix turns and grabs Nocturne and hits a snap suplex! He picks up Nocturne..."Call of Destiny"!! After hitting the DDT Hendrix places Nocturne on the top turnbuckle and goes to climb it...He goes to suplex Nocturne but she blocks it..."Twilight Suplex"!!! Both wrestlers are down in the ring...

THREE!! HENDRIX KICKED OUT A SECOND TO LATE!!
Mr. Rad: Brandon Hendrix has been eliminated!!!
Arthur La Forge: Aw damn it! Brandon was doing so good.
Mary DeSue: Someone get The Developer to see if he wants to come back, we'd love to have him!
Hendrix slams the mat and rolls out of the ring frustrated with himself, but he looks toward Nocturne. He gives her a thumbs up and she nods as she gets up. Over on the other side of the ring we see Avenger start to get up...He is holding his back as he slides into the ring and looks over at Noctrune. The fans start chanting and clapping for each wrestler as they start to circle each other...Nocturne and Avenger lock up! Nocturne puts Avenger in a headlock and Avenger pushes her off towards the ropes...Avenger heads to the opposing ropes and they go...clotheslines, ducked...clotheslines again, ducked...FLYING CROSS BODY FROM NOCTURNE!!! Avenger grabs his ribs as Nocturne runs to the nearest turnbuckle...She goes up top...springboard split legged moonsault!!! Cover...

Two..NO!!! KICKOUT FROM AVENGER!!
Arthur La Forge: Gonna need more Kryptonite to take out this guy!
Mary DeSue: Is that like Dogecoin?
Arthur La Forge: I...I...I got no words...
Nocturne doesn't get frustrated...she grabs Avenger and quickly hits a DDT! She picks him up again. Snap Suplex! Pickup. Toss to the ropes...Hurricanrana!! She heads up top once again. This is it! This has to be it! Everything is on the line...She hesitates, wobbling a bit on the turnbuckle pad, but stops herself. She goes for "Nocturnal Eclipse" one more time...and Avenger rolls out of the way!!! Nocturne hits the mat hard...Avenger crawls to the ropes to get up. Nocturne starts to show signs of life as Avenger gets behind her..."INFINITE CRISIS"!!! Cover by Avenger...

THREE!!!
Mr. Rad: Here is your winner..."The Avenger"!!!
Arthur La Forge: The Superb Superhero pulls it off!! But what an effort by Nocturne. Avenger had to break out his ultimate finishing move that no one has ever kicked out to take them down!
Mary DeSue: I'll admit I wasn't a fan of this match when it was announced, but damn did these wrestlers pull out the stops.
For a moment we see Nocturne get frustrated. Whoever she is under the mask risked everything and it didn't pay off. The frustration is palpable until she hears something...something you'd never think you'd hear at a Level Up Event...
Nocturne Rocks!! Nocturne Rocks!! Nocturne Rocks!!
She gets up looking around at all the fans on their feet. And she turns to see Avenger who is on his knees gesturing up to her out of respect. She reaches down and grabs his arm...and hoists it up! A victory nonetheless for both wrestlers. The standing ovation continues for a few moments.
Arthur La Forge: That's what Level Up is all about folks! Moral as well as Title Victories!
Mary DeSue: Now if I could just have my Final Fantasy...a Real THICC SAMMICH...
Arthur La Forge: Uhhh...
---
Mr. Rad: The following contest is scheduled for one fall...and it is our No Disqualification match...Introducing first...From Richmond Virginia..."The Bull Of The North"...BUSTER GLOVES!!!
The lights go out. An electric guitar plays before a single word appears on the Jumbotron. “BUSTER”. Then another guitar riff and the word ”GLOVES”. The lights return to the arena and… OH MY GOD… is that Buster Gloves?! Guile’s theme song from Street Fighter II is being shredded on the guitar and Buster Gloves burst from the tunnel full of energy.
Artie La Forge: I guess the days of wearing suits are over for Buster.
Mary DeSue: New music. New look. He’s still not thick enough for me though. What’s that on his face?
Wearing black board shorts and a black shirt reading the words “The Truth Shall Be Revealed” Buster Gloves has a black training mask attached to his face. You can’t see many of his facial features, but it’s undoubtedly him. He has those black leather gloves that he loves so much. He’s full of energy and is amped up for this match up.
Artie La Forge: We’ve never seen Buster like this before. What’s gotten in to him?
Mary DeSue: I don’t know, but the mask is kind of kinky. It’d oddly working for me.
Buster descends the ramp like a race horse at the gates, high fiving kids and standing for pictures with sign-holding fans. The electric guitar plays on the and the audience is going crazy for this new energized Buster Gloves. He’s asking for more. The crowd gets louder.
Artie La Forge:It’s taken a couple months, but Buster Gloves is really getting over with the Level Up fans. He has his hands full tonight though as HIS MONSTER is a tough tough matchup.
Buster removes his shirt and climbs the turnbuckle to play to the crowd one last time.
Mary DeSue:Holy Toledo. He looks fucking shredded, dude. I could wash my cat on those abs.
The music fades as Buster removes his training mask and shakes hands with Referee Iroquois Pliskin
Mr. Rad: And his opponent...from Apia, Samoa...He is...HIS MONSTER!!
The lights flicker in time to the opening riffs of the guitar.
"WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLL HE AIN'T MY BOY BUT THE BROTHER IS HEAVY"
"THROWN AWAY MY POSSESSIONS AND MOVED INTO A CHEVY"
"VAN, MAN IT'S THE MASTER PLAN"
"DRRRRIVE TO THE WOODS, EAT CORN OUT THE CAN!!!"
At this point, HIS MONSTER comes barreling from a random point in the arena, be it the entry ramp, or through the crowd, to the ring at full tilt. Sliding into the ring and getting up onto his feet in one smooth movement, he pounds his chest and lets loose a loud bellow. He walks along the edge of the ring, glaring daggers at the crowd and shouting obscenities, before stopping at the corner opposite his opponent and sitting on the bottom turnbuckle, arms outstretched and gripping the middle rope. He stares, unblinking, at his opponent, like a hungry beast eyeing fresh prey. Buster eyes HM as well. Both men staring down each other as the music dies down...
Arthur La Forge: This isn't gonna be a regular match between these two...they've been trading shots for the past month or so and it's gonna be a fight!
Mary DeSue: Here comes the pain bay bayyyyy!!
DING DING...
Before the bell even rings a third time we see Gloves charge at HM and start hitting him with elbow strikes to the head! HM stands there taking it over and over and over again until he reaches up and hits Gloves with a throat punch! Gloves stumbles back. Headbutt from HM! Gloves stumbles some more. HM runs to the ropes and comes back with a Lariat from Hell!! Gloves hits the ground hard! HM mounts him and starts hitting Gloves with shot after shot to the face. Gloves putting up his arms to try and rope a dope to absorb some of the punishment. HM gets up and laughs in the face of Gloves and picks him up. He tosses Gloves, headfirst, into the turnbuckle post so hard that it shakes the ring. Gloves grabs his back in pain as HM stands there and taunts the crowd!
Arthur La Forge: It looks like HIS MONSTER is not taking Buster Gloves as serious as he should.
Mary DeSue: Look. I'm not saying Buster isn't a beast, but look at HM...would you be worried?
HM reaches down and picks up Gloves and tosses him into the ropes. HM goes for a clothesline, but Gloves ducks it and stops. He grabs the arm of HM and turns it up to set up for a heartpunch! It connects! Gloves starts hitting a combination of punches and knees to the midsection and chest area of HM. HM starts backing up towards the ropes with each shot. Gloves irish whips HM to the other side of the ring. Rebound...Muay Thai Clinch Knee Strike!! Gloves grabs the back of HM's head and starts doing more and more of the knee strikes to keep hitting "The Monster from Samoa" over and over again until he hits a double knee strike sending HM to the ropes. HM gets tangled in the ropes and we can see his nose is busted open! Spinning kick to the face from Gloves sends HM down to the mat and clutching his face. Gloves, not giving HM a moment to catch his breath, drags the bigger man to the center of the ring by his right leg and turns him over into an ankle lock submission in the center of the ring!
Arthur La Forge: Ankle Lock! Will the big man tap?!
Mary DeSue: I'd be more worried about if he can breathe. Gloves almost split his face open!
HM howls in pain as the blood keeps pouring from his nose and his eyebrow. Some of the blood getting into his eyes and mouth. The big man starts to push himself up while Gloves tries to apply more pressure with the anklelock, but HM gets to his feet. HM flips forward sending Gloves over him and onto the mat. Gloves let's go of the ankle lock and lands on his back. HM gets back up at the same time that Gloves kips up...SPEAR!! HM gets up and grabs Gloves and tosses him into the ropes...SPINEBUSTER!! HM wipes the blood out of his eyes and drops down slapping the face of Gloves, smearing the crimson all over Gloves' own face!
Arthur La Forge: Oh I'm gonna be sick...oh god...
Mary DeSue: That was gross...and intimidating.
HM gets up and drops and elbow directly into the sternum of Gloves. He gets up to pound on Gloves for about five punches in a row before getting up and picking up Gloves...toss to the ropes..."INO‘INO"!!! HM is calling for the end of this as he picks up Gloves one more time and Gloves hits HM with a jawbreaker! HM falls back into the ropes and comes forward...EUROPEAN UPPERCUT TO THE BUSTED NOSE!! Gloves grabs HM by the head with both hands...Knee to the face! Knee to the face! Knee to the face! This continues for the next few minutes as the rabid Level Up fanbase starts wooing with each strike. HM is staggering as Gloves kicks him in the gut...POWERBOMB!! GLOVES JUST POWERBOMBED HIS MONSTER!! He drags HM to the center of the ring...
Arthur La Forge: What a feat to get the big man off of his feet!
Mary DeSue: But can he capitalize on it?!
Gloves drags HM to the center of the ring and slaps on the "The Soul Crusher"!!! HM can't reach the ropes and is howling in pain as Pliskin asks if he wants to quit. Gloves holds fast with the hold as HM keeps bleeding, as those shots to the face would make it even harder for him to breathe. HM stops moving...Pliskin picks up HM's arm...
One...It drops...
Two...It drops...
THREE!!
DING! DING! DING!
Mr. Rad: The winner of this bout...BUSTER GLOVES!!!
Arthur La Forge: Gloves wins by knockout!
Mary DeSue: HM talked a big game and had been backing it up but Gloves backed it up more!
EMT's come down to check on HM who is still not responding. Gloves stands up and holds up his arms as we cut back to ringside.
Arthur La Forge: I'm hearing over our headsets that the trainers are ready backstage for HM and we'll try to update you on his condition as the night goes on.
Mary DeSue: I dunno about you, but I wanna see more of Shredded Gloves...
---
Mr. Rad: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for "The Courage Championship"...introducing first...
The lights dim as multiple spotlights rotate throughout the arena. As "Musical Castle 2" begins to play, the spotlights all point to the stage, illuminating a velvet red curtain. At the moment the guitars begin to play, the curtain is drawn open, revealing the imposing figure of Dionysus, holding a Thyrsus in his right hand. He roars out to the crowd, raising the Thyrsus above his head.
Mr. Rad: Making his way to the ring, from Minneapolis MN, weighing in at 270 lbs; he is the Lord of the Vine, DIONYSUS!
Dionysus sets the Thyrsus next to the ring apron and rolls inside, running to one of the turnbuckles and climbing up to rally the crowd behind him. He then hops down and limbers up, awaiting his opponent
Arthur La Forge: Dionysus worked really hard during the round robin and ended up with a title shot. No one can deny he deserves to be in this match...
Mary DeSue: Oh one person might have another opinion...and here she comes!
Mr. Rad: And his opponent...the former, and she hopes to be the new current, Courage Champion...She is "Queen Machine" Jenny!!!
“And There was Light!”
The lights turn into a mixture of turquoise and purple, flickering about the arena as the short keyboard-intro of “And there was Light” by Illnath plays through the PA-system. A single white spotlight focuses on the end of the rampway as the song kicks into its first verse.
On the short bridge, “Queen Machine” Jenny walks through the curtains, crawling on all fours. She stops at the top of the ramp and rise up to her knees, surveying the crowd.
As the strong vocals of the song kick up again she bounces up to her feet and stalks her way down the aisleway.
As she reaches the ring she hops on the apron and drapes herself on the ropes, hanging upside down while the song reaches its solo, a manic chuckle emanating from her lips before she slithers into the ring and crawls into the corner where she bounces up to the top rope and lies down on the buckle, staring down the aisle way as the chorus kicks in
As the song fades she rolls back to the ground in a three-point stance and prepares for action.
Arthur La Forge: Queenie's obsession with Goldie has brought here her since losing to Bert McAlroy before The Tri Force match.
Mary DeSue: Yeah...still bitter about being beat up Artie?
Arthur La Forge: Nope...I will be as professional as possible.
As the bell is getting ready to ring suddenly we hear...
"Man Who sold the world” by David Bowie hits the PA, and the crowd boos as EA Blizzard walks out, carrying his leather briefcase. He adjusts his tie with his free hand, before walking to the ring, pointing out the embroidered EAB initials on the case as he staves off jeers from the fans. He stops and eyes the announcers table and walks over to Arthur and Mary. He picks up a headset.
Arthur La Forge: Well...looks like we have a guest.
Mary DeSue: Still gonna be professional Artie?
EA Blizzard: Greetings, Mary, you look lovely. Arthur.
Arthur La Forge: RING THE BELL!!
DING DING DING!
With the sound of the bell that's when the "Queen Machine" charges forward and open hand chops Dionysus right in the chest knocking Dionysus down to the mat with a slap that echoes throughout the arena! Dionysus rolls and gets back up only to have Jenny keep slapping him over and over again with open handed chops. Getting a "woo" with almost every single shot until she stops with the chops and just leaps up with a standing dropkick to the chest of Dionysus sending him into the ropes. Drop down by Jenny as Dionysus bounces off the ropes and heads to the other side of the ring. Rebound by Dionysus. Jenny leaps up going for a crucifix pin!
One...
Kickout by Dionysus!
Arthur La Forge: Jenny's wanting to end this quick. With her fast paced style Dionysus is going to have to be on his toes the whole match.
Mary DeSue: I'm sure Dion's dealt with plenty of fast women before.
EA Blizzard: What the heck kind of a name is Dionysus anyway? What kind of a man comes out proclaiming and catering to such things a Greek God who supports hedonistic and clearly anti-American and anti-traditional values. We are at the brink of the new year world of 2022 is about being hedonistic, the world doesn't revolve around your own selfish desires and motives.
Arthur La Forge: Uh…right. Sounds like our guest has a problem with Dionysus.
Mary DeSue: Makes sense to me! I can’t imagine why anyone wouldn’t! You’re so right, Mr. Blizzard.
Dionysus goes to the outside for a moment to take a breather, but Jenny decides to go all out and runs to the ropes. Cross Body Splash over the top rope to the outside. Jenny grabs Dionysus by the arm and Irish Whips him into the steps! Jenny leaps to the ring apron and as Dionysus gets up she runs down the ring apron and kicks him in the face. Leap off the apron into the "Royal Pain In The Ass"!! Toss into the ring by Jenny, and she climbs the top turnbuckle. She leaps for a Jennycanrana. Dionysus catches her and...POWERBOMB INTO THE TURNBUCKLE POST! Dionysus drops down to the mat the same time as Jenny. He starts using the ropes to get back up.{/i]
Arthur La Forge: What a reversal by Dionysus!
Mary DeSue: That's one way to stop Queenie.
Arthur La Forge: So EA…if I can call you that. What’s this you were saying about Dionysus being selfish?
EA Blizzard: LevelUP as a organization deserves the best talent from the locker room to everyone else in this place be it production, catering, security to janitorial and everything in between. This place would not function without our combined effort and if people were as selfish as him our fans would not get the high quality performances and top of the line production values they expect and are accustomed to when tuning in.
Mary DeSue: Makes sense to me!
Arthur La Forge: Mary…your lips are going to get chapped at this rate.
Dionysus gets up and grabs Jenny, tossing her into the ropes, followed by a Big Boot to the face! He picks up Jenny. Tiger Suplex! Pickup! Toss into the ropes...SPINEBUSTER! Pickup! Toss into the ropes. HIPTOSS INTO DIONYSUS' KNEE!! Jenny grabs her back in howling pain as Dionysus drags her to the center of the ring. BOSTON CRAB!! Referee Crash Cortex asks if Jenny wants to give up. She shouts NO!
Arthur La Forge: Dionysus seems to be focusing his attacks on the spine of "Queen Machine" and so far it's paying off.
Mary DeSue: Can't fly if you have a bruised spine.
Dionysus lets loose on the crab after a while and lets Jenny go, but stomps her on the back as he does. Laying her flat on her stomach Dionysus goes up top...TOP ROPE FIST DROP RIGHT INTO THE SPINE! He picks up Jenny into a fireman's carry...DVD!! He grabs Jenny by the throat and picks her up...CHOKESLAM INTO THE TURNBUCKLE POST BACK FIRST!!
Arthur La Forge: This strategy has slowed down the match and also let Dionysus catch his wind again.
Mary DeSue: Yeah, but how much more can Jenny take?
Arthur La Forge: Anything to add, Mr. Blizzard?
EAB remains silent on commentary. Dionysus motions for Jenny to move forward as she lays on the turnbuckle post for a moment. He seems ready to finish this off. Jenny starts to move forward and she ducks being grabbed by Dionysus. ARM DRAG TAKEDOWN! Jenny gets up first, grabbing her back, but she runs to the ropes..."Royal Flush"! She goes for the cover after the split legged moonsault...
One...
Two...
Kickout by Dionysus! Dionysus starts to get up and Jenny leaps up from the mat..."Bow Down"! Both wrestlers are down and out...
One...
Two...
Arthur La Forge: Both wrestlers have taken a massive amount of punishment in the past few minutes. Whose got enough courage left to get up!
Mary DeSue: If they both get counted out are they co-champions?
Three...
Dionysus starts to get up as does Jenny. Both crawling on the mat till the get to the ropes on either side.
Four...
Five...
Six...
Arthur La Forge: Cortex has stopped his count and both wrestlers look ready to go one more round!
Mary DeSue: Both want it. Only one's gonna get it!
Both stand up and rush towards each other. Punch by Dionysus! Punch by Jenny! Punch! Punch! Punch! Each competitor throwing bombs at each other's faces! Jenny ducks a shot by Dionysus and gets behind him..."Enter The Machine"!! Jenny goes down to her knees and grabs her back as Dionysus eats canvas from the hit! Jenny crawls over to the turnbuckle post and pulls herself up to her feet. She climbs up to the top turnbuckle...Springboard Senton Bomb...DIONYSUS GETS HIS KNEES UP!! JENNY LANDS BACKFIRST ON THE KNEES!! She howls out in pain! Dionysus rolls over and slowly gets up as Jenny screams in pain...Dionysus picks her up..."Final Curtain"!!! He picks her up again..."Final Curtain"!! Cover!!
Arthur La Forge: Double Final Curtains!
Mary DeSue: Is it enough??
One...
Two...
THREE!!!
Mr. Rad:Here is your winner and NEWWW Courage Champion of Level Up Wrestling...Dionysus!!
Dionysus stands tall as Cortex raises his hand, but Dionysus stops. He looks down at Jenny whose still holding her back and tells Cortex to call in the EMT's. Cortex does so but hands Dionysus the Courage Title as he does. The EMT's rush down to check on Jenny. Dionysus looks over to see EAB standing up applauding his match. Dionysus scowls for a moment and then smirks holding up his belt.
EA Blizzard: Look at him, look at how he looks down at his nose at these hard working people in the crowd, like they are all here just to praise him and bask in his presence. These people paid top dollar of their hardworked earnings to be here not to fund your hedonistic exploits bud!
Blizzard gets up and leaves the area having seen all he cares to see.
Arthur La Forge: Well I, for one, hope Jenny is alright...but congratulations to Dionysus on a well fought match!
Mary DeSue: That's awfully big of you Artie...now if you could say something nice about other people...
Arthur La Forge: Only if you talk nice about Bert in the main...
Mary DeSue: Nah...not worth it.
---
Mr. Rad: Ladies and gentlemen, it is now time for the Pyramid Attack CAGE MATCH for the Final Boss Championship! The rules are: the two wrestlers start out in the ring, and must climb up through the other two cages, retrieve the belt, then climb all the way back down and escape through the door! Whoever does that will be YOUR Final Boss Champion!
The lights cut out. The arena goes completely black.
The music slowly starts to play the opening chorus at the stop. The drums start playing followed by the guitar solo. Once the guitar solo starts, Eli Goode walks out with his leather jacket and ring gear on as the lights flash on. He stands up at the top of the ramp. He looks around the arena.
The moment the heavier rock starts he starts his walk down the ramp. When he reaches the steps, he waits until the chorus starts to play to walk up the steps. He enters the ring and poses to the audience. He takes in a deep breath as he looks around the audience. He closes his eyes for a few seconds. He opens his arms up to his side and a small amount of pyro shoots out around the ring.
Mr. Rad: Introducing first, your special guest referee....ELI GOODE!
After the pyro stops, he opens his eyes and smiles. He takes off the leather jacket, showing off his referee shirt, as the music starts to fade away. After the music is over, he walks to his respective side of the ring to wait for the match to start.
Arthur La Forge: We needed to make sure there is a winner in this match and The Developer chose Eli!
Mary DeSue: Not sure what he's gonna be doing. All he has to do is open the cage door for the winner.
Arthur La Forge: Yes, but he can also prevent anyone, like say, The Game Changers, from interfering.
Mary DeSue: Ha! Let him try.
"Partytime" by 45 Grave blares forth, the fans come unglued seconds before Bert McAlroy steps out onto the stage, Taking a moment to stare out over the audience. He raises a fist in the air before taking off in a full sprint toward the ring, sliding in and instantly leaping upon the ropes to hype the crowd up.
Mr. Rad: And now the challenger! From Carmel by the Sea, California, weighing in at 144 pounds...He is the Triforce Champion...BERT MCALROY!
He turns his gaze toward special referee Goode, eyes narrowing before hopping off the ropes and discarding his hoodie. He checks his wrist tape as he awaits the bell.
Arthur La Forge: Well, this is it. Bert McAlroy has been waiting for another opportunity for months.
Mary DeSue: Yeah and look at all he's done to get here! He trash talked the champion for months, he made Jenny crazier, he beat up his own mentor...guy's losing it!
Arthur La Forge: He's 100% focused, that's for sure. This is his third opportunity at the Final Boss belt and the second against Lockheart in a one-on-one situation.
The lights in the arena go out completely leaving both the pyramid of cages and the stage in complete darkness.
Arthur La Forge: Oh crap. Here we go.
Mary DeSue: This is so stupid... I can't see a thing!
Eerie chants and groans emanate from the stage as a bright spotlight shines from the entranceway. Two rows of shadowed figures, each wearing black cloaks with their hoods pulled down to cover their faces, emerge and line up along the length of the ramp leading down to the ring. As cellphone lights and the spotlight work to illuminate them, the camera catches a close shot of a few of the cloaked men. Each of them has one of their sleeves torn revealing a number tattoo.
They all stop in unison. They stand motionless. Their heads remain lowered.
Mary DeSue: Can't decide if this is the creepiest thing or the dumbest.
Then suddenly, the LevelUptron flashes to life with a video of a meteor bursting through and burning the sky, just moments before impact. As the meteor "hits", a pyro blast goes off and ignites the stage in flames!
Slowly rising amidst the flock of flames, the silver-haired goddess, the perfect daughter of JENOVA, the black legacy. The audience is left in the flickering orange glow of the fire, as they watch her rise up inch by inch, draped in a black trenchcoat and holding the fabled Masamune in her hand.
Mr. Rad: Standing at five feet three inches tall, and weighing in at one-hundred and eleven pounds, she has descended from the cosmos, summoned here tonight for one time only by way of the Black Materia. She is your current and defending Final Boss Champion, She is the BLACK LEGACY, THE HEARTLESS ANGEL-
Soon after Lockheart glares forward as she steps through the flames with no reaction to the heat whatsoever. With her eyes locked on to Bert, she begins to walk down the ramp towards the ring. For every step she takes, however, the two cloaked figures standing to her direct right and left drop down to the ramp as if the strength of her presence zaps all life from their bodies. With each step, two more fall.
Arthur La Forge: Oh my god, it looks like they're... dying!
Mary DeSue: Hmph. You can pay anyone to do almost anything these days.
Arthur La Forge: Her eyes haven't left McAlroy from the moment she emerged from the fire.
At the bottom of the ramp, Lockheart stops just feet in front of the structure, with two lines of cloaked bodies in her wake behind her. She points the tip of the sword up to Bert, and makes a slashing motion. As she does, a single black-feathered wing shoots out of the back of her coat. She smirks at him.
Lockheart walks around to the hard camera side of the ring, and turns her back to the cage. She grabs her coat with both hands and as the hard riff kicks in, she pulls her cloak open. A red spotlight shines straight down on her as black feathers rain down from the ceiling and onto the crowd. She pauses for a few moments before turning towards the cage door, where she keeps her eyes trained on her opponent while stepping in..
Mr. Rad: For the thousands in attendance and the millions watching at home…LET THE FINAL BOSS FIGHT BEGIN!!!
The triple caged structure lowers down around the two wrestlers as they stare a hole in each other, before the bell finally rings. Eli stands outside, watching the match from near the only door to the first cage. The only weapon in the first cage will be ladders, as they will enable someone to escape to the top. The second cage contains a fair amount of other weapons, however. After the bell rings, Bert drops his head down low and charges at Maggie, eager to begin, when Lockheart suddenly surprises everyone with a knockout roundhouse kick! The move knocks McAlroy for a loop, and he stumbles and spills out through the ropes to the floor.
Arthur La Forge: Was that...was that Coma-Toes?
Mary DeSue: Isn't that Antonio Ricci's move?
Arthur La Forge: We haven't seen Ricci in months and Lockheart just used his move to effectively take out Bert for the moment!
Lockheart looks up and realizes that she could, possibly, set up a ladder to get to the second cage, but instead climbs out onto the apron and jumps down with a simple double axe handle to the back of Bert as he tries to stand. From there, the Final Boss Champion grabs Bert around the head and attempts to throw him head-first into the cage, but McAlroy gets his hands up at the last second. He hits her with an elbow to the midsection and he then tries an Irish Whip to throw her into the cage, but she reverses it and finally hurls Bert into the steel mesh! She grabs him by the head and throws him into it again. As he turns around, trying to recover, she launches herself at him with a flying forearm that puts him on the floor.
Mary DeSue: Yes! Bert's out here getting his ass kicked!
Arthur La Forge: This thing has been all Lockheart so far. She has a point to prove tonight and Bert's going to have the toughest match of his career.
Mary DeSue: Hopefully the LAST match.
Lockheart slides back into the ring as Bert climbs in and begins to viciously stomp him. She then hits a hammer-drop elbow to keep him down, before looking up at the ceiling. But she's unable to climb yet as McAlroy is already picking himself up. She reaches down to grab at him and he fires off several punches to her ribcage, perhaps hoping her injuries from the last month are slow to heal. If they are, she avoids showing any signs of it and grabs McAlroy by the head before spiking him with a DDT. With McAlroy down again, Maggie goes outside and after eyeing Goode nearby, grabs herself a ladder, sliding it into the ring.
Arthur La Forge: I don't know if it's nerves or the fact he just wrestled last night, but Bert is having trouble getting out of the gate.
Mary DeSue: Or maybe the champ's just that good? Or maybe Bert was never that good?
Arthur La Forge: Lockheart is good at her job, but that bit about McAlroy is preposterous. He's the Triforce Champion.
Right as that bit is said on commentary, Maggie tries to get into the ring behind the ladder only for McAlroy to baseball slide the ladder into her face! She tumbles back out and hits the cage, so Bert slides out, grabs her and throws her back in the ring. He attempts an Irish Whip, which Lockheart reverses. As Bert comes back, she attempts a Sector 7 Press, but McAlroy catches her and drops her chest-first against the top rope! He runs off the otherside and comes back, trying a running knee strike, but she sidesteps it, spins around and tries a spinning heel kick, but Bert ducks, pops back up and attempts a hurricanrana, but Lockheart holds on and backs up, tossing him over the top rope! McAlroy lands on his feet, however, and LEAPS BACK IN TO GIVE MAGGIE THE BERT!
Arthur La Forge: That Superman Punch connected flush with the champion!
Mary DeSue: Damn it!
Arthur La Forge: These two are throwing bombs out there, as there's no point in a feeling out process.
Mary DeSue: Maybe he'll slip and fall when he tries to climb.
Bert grabs the ladder but sees Lockheart trying to stand and drops it. He moves over and grabs the champion, hitting a basic body slam, before going to the top rope. He then jumps off with Maximum Effort...but LOCKHEART MOVES! Bert crashes and burns, landing on the canvas and then rolling and falling outside. Maggie gets up, not willing to give herself time to relax, and runs off the opposite side of the ropes before diving out onto Bert with tope suicida that knocks him into the cage! She grabs him by the head and tries to toss him in the ring, but Bert hops up with the momentum, grabs the bottom rope to spin himself around and then connects with an ugly kick to Lockheart's jaw!
Arthur La Forge:That wasn't graceful, but it might have got Bert out of that predicament!
Mary DeSue: She shoulda dodged! This is why I wanted Tirri in the match.
Arthur La Forge:I know, I know, you only like Tirri.
Mary DeSue: And the Game Changers!
Bert grabs Lockheart and rams her head into the cage before tossing her back in the ring. She is attempting to get up when he kicks her in the back of the leg, forcing her down into a kneel. Bert then begins to hit his "Bitch Kicks", a series of kicks to the chest with the crowd chanting the insult along with him!
Kick!
"Bitch!"
Kick!
"Bitch!"
Kick!
"Bitch!"
He then backs up, as the crowd begins to "whooaaaaa" and he prepares for a headkick. He fires one off, but Lockheart ducks, and in response to being called a "bitch" multiple times, pops up and starts nailing Bert with a variety of strikes! Two jabs, an uppercut, a spinning back elbow! She tries to complete Beat Rush by going for the spinning roaring elbow, but Bert drops down to avoid it and kicks her in the hamstring! Maggie drops to a kneel again and Bert gets the headkick!
"Bitch!"
Arthur La Forge: Those aren't the nicest kicks out there for a variety of reasons.
Mary DeSue: So disrespectful. And this is the guy that some of these idiots want to be champ!
Arthur La Forge: A lot of them are rooting for Maggie too, and I doubt they enjoyed that entire exchange. Crowd is very split tonight.
The back and forth match continues as McAlroy gets in the ring with the ladder. He looks up to the second cage, which is the same size as the ring, and sets up a ladder below the opening, hoping to begin his climb. However, Lockheart is already back up and as Bert turns around, she jumps up and hits that spinning roaring elbow she was looking for earlier! It connects with Bert's head, knocking it back into the ladder! Bert and the ladder both fall and Lockheart drops to her knees to catch a breather. She then gets up and gives McAlroy the finger before grabbing both of his arm as he lays prone. She then begins to stomp his head and face viciously, with HER fans chanting "BITCH" after every stomp!
Stomp!
”Bitch!”
Stomp!
”Bitch!”
Stomp!
”Bitch!”
She then begins to stomp so quickly that the crowd can't keep up, but eventually stops when Bert is suitably out of it.
Arthur La Forge: Lockheart turns the tables on the challenger, and we learn that everyone in the building has a foul mouth!
Mary DeSue: Heh, Bert got called a name. I enjoyed it.
Arthur La Forge: He also got his head kicked in, which might make the champion free to climb up to the next level.
Lockheart begins her ascent up the ladder, even as Bert attempts to get back in the game. He rolls over to his stomach and crawls towards her as she climbs, weakly reaching out. She manages to just unlatch the door at the top of the cage and push it open when Bert finally gets up behind her and grabs her onto his shoulders, before looking from the ladder down at the mat. Lockheart knows something is coming and begins to hit him in the head to stop it, but he reaches up and grabs her by the head...AND HE JUMPS OFF WITH A SLOPPY ONE-WINGED ANGEL OFF THE LADDER! Lockheart crashes back first, and Bert doesn't fare much better by landing on his tailbone!
Arthur La Forge: Oh my GOD! If there were ever a night where that move would be appropriate! Bert just brought the doom to the champion!
Mary DeSue: No way! He hurt himself and the jerkface still has to climb! Ha!
Arthur La Forge: That's true, he attempted a move he hadn't tried before and now they're both worse for the wear.
Both wrestlers lie in a heap but Bert rolls over and uses the ladder to pick himself up. He indeed has a noticeable limp after jamming his spine like he did, all in an attempt to keep Lockheart down. He closes the ladder and places it in the corner, not noticing that Lockheart is also beginning to stir and (slowly) get to her feet. Bert turns around and hits her with a right hand, then Irish Whips her back first into the ladder! Lockheart bounces off and hits the mat hard. She gets back up and Bert does it a second time! She gets up again, slowly and Bert tries for a third, but you can see the look of anger on Lockheart's face as she reverses and sends McAlroy crashing into the ladder. He staggers out and she gets him up into a fireman's carry, before spinning out with a cutter?!
Arthur La Forge: Maggie just hit Bert with the Goode Bye! Right in front of Eli!
Mary DeSue: It's like she's attacking him with the finishers of opponents' past!
Arthur La Forge: Or more specifically, the opponents who have wins over him!
Eli jokingly gives her execution of his move a thumbs up from where he is watching, but the champion isn't paying attention to him. She tips over the heavy duty ladder and lets it fall on Bert, hoping holding him in place, before she goes outside and retrieves another one. She sets it up under the opening and tries to climb, but Bert has slid out from the other ladder and begins to climb up the other side. They both begin to trade forearm shots as they battle to the top, just to get to the second cage to continue the match. Lockheart then hits McAlroy with a headbutt, dazing him, but Bert pulls open the second cage hatch and flings it forward, smacking her in the face and knocking her off the ladder!
Arthur La Forge: The second cage is open and the champion is done! Bert will have the advantage if he can slip inside!
Mary DeSue: Even if he can get all the way to the top, he still has to come back down and go through her to win.
Arthur La Forge: Yes, but just having the belt down there will make things easier for both.
The champion is cut open on her right eyebrow and slowly getting to her feet, but McAlroy is already up the ladder and pulls himself into the second cage! Lockheart begins to climb herself in an attempt to follow him in. McAlroy is already pulling weapons down from the cage wall, eyeing a table that is nearby. He grabs a pair of bolt cutters in order to unlock the next door, but Lockheart is right there and hits him with a spinning backfist to the back of the head! Bert drops the bolt cutters and back up into the champion, who hits him with Joey Crash's THUNDER CRASH! The Fisherman's Brainbuster drops Bert on his head onto the cage floor!
Arthur La Forge: Another move to haunt Bert tonight. It's like Lockheart is trying to remind him of his failures to play mind games, or something.
Mary DeSue: She didn't get this far on luck!
Arthur La Forge: No she did not. And it seems to have flattened McAlroy so she might be able to get out of the second cage without using the weapons.
Lockheart picks up the bolt cutters and uses them to snap off the chain the rest of the way, opening the second door. Rather than try to leave, however, she grabs a chair from the wall! Bert is beginning to get to his feet and Lockheart turns around and cracks the chair over his head! It immediately busts McAlroy open and knocks him unconscious! Lockheart goes out through the second door onto the narrow walkway on the second cage, before beginning to climb up it in order to get to the third!
Arthur La Forge: What a VICIOUS chair shot from Lockheart, and Bert might be done!
Mary DeSue: She should go back and hit him another twenty times to be sure!
Maggie begins her ascent up the cage while McAlroy, who perhaps doesn't even know where he is, begins crawling towards the door. Lockheart sees that Bert is still trying to stop her, so she climbs back down and goes into the cage, giving a sharp toe kick to the head. She then pulls down a singapore cane, remember the last time the two were in a match together. She walks over to Bert, raises the cane above her head and brings it down right on his back, resulting in a loud CRACK noise that echoes through the arena. McAlroy arches his back in pain, as the two find themselves in a similar situation, and just like last time, Lockheart begins to bring the cane down again and again, hitting any body part in sight. Welts begin to appear on Bert as he tries to block the shots, with the cane beginning to splinter from repeated shots. She raises the cane up for one last shot, but McAlroy grabs the bolt cutters from earlier and swings them into her abdomen! All the fight goes out of her, as does the air, and she drops and begins heaving to try to catch her breath.
Arthur La Forge: It's getting pretty violent now, I'm not sure who has the advantage.
Mary DeSue: The man hit her in the ribs with BOLT CUTTERS. THIS is who we might have represent our company?
Arthur La Forge: I didn't say I condoned it. And Lockheart's giving as good as she's getting.
McAlroy gets to his feet, his entire body racked with pain, before grabbing the singapore cane and cracking it over Lockheart's head. He then picks her up and runs with her into the cage wall, WHICH SPLITS OPEN! LOCKHEART VERY NEARLY ALMOST FELL OFF THE CAGE! With a portion of the wall down and Lockheart wrapped up in it, Bert gets to his feet and grabs a table, beginning to set it up. He then pulls the champion out of the fencing, opening up shallow cuts as he does so, and places her on the table. He then begins to scale another wall, while inside, before JUMPING OFF WITH MAXIMUM EFFORT THROUGH THE TABLE! BOTH WRESTLERS ARE DOWN!
Arthur La Forge: A cage wall is down, the champion is down and the challenger is down! The belt hasn't even been retrieved yet!
Mary DeSue: They've used everything but the kitchen sink! And did you SEE the way he just casually let the fence cut her?!
Arthur La Forge: Bert only cares about the championship right now. He's even throwing his own safety out the window, not to mention his opponent's.
McAlroy rolls out of the wreckage of the table, leaving Lockheart there as he starts to climb the cage. She rolls onto her stomach and begins to crawl to another outside wall, and when McAlroy sees it, much like Maggie earlier, he climbs back down and grabs a chair. He smacks her in the back with it, stopping her climb. When McAlroy attempts another shot, she grabs him and hits a URANAGE SUPLEX, better known as…
Arthur La Forge: THE HUMBLING! That's Larry Tact's move!
Mary DeSue: Another guy who beat Bert! The champion is shoving his losses in his face and I love it!
With McAlroy down, the champion pulls herself to her feet and begins to climb up the third cage, while Bert drags himself along the catch until he can get up and he begins to climb as well. It looks to be a race but both are battered and managed to get to the third cage at the same time. Inside the third cage is barbed wire! It's half the size of the ring and just full of barbed wire, a cage full of a blood web! The two walk around the platform, neither really wanting to go through the open door, and meet in the center to trade shots! It becomes a hockey right as they begin pelting each other with right hands, before the champion raises a knee to stop Bert's half of the assault. She then eyes the open door and looks at the hunched over Bert, before grabbing him by the head and TOSSING HIM INTO THE BARBED WIRE WEB! McAlroy crashes into the barbed wire and immediately becomes tangled in it! So much so he doesn't even fall, he just sort of hangs there, stuck to the barbed wire piercing his skin in multiple places!
Mary DeSue: Oh my god, I'm gonna throw up.
Arthur La Forge: The barbed wire web returns and Bert McAlroy is not going to be happy about it.
Mary DeSue: Yeah but the champ took him out of the match!
Arthur La Forge: She did. At the very least she'll be able to grab the belt and begin her descent.
However, Lockheart doesn't do that. She looks at McAlroy attempting to free herself and suddenly becomes full of rage. That's when she RUNS INTO THE CAGE AND HITS A SECTOR 7 PRESS! Diving into the barbed wire herself (and causing Bert's situation to get worse), she tackles Bert to the ground and begins to fire off a series of right hands in frustration! She gets to her feet, managing to pull herself free of the barbed wire. It won't be as easy for McAlroy, who is completely wrapped in it. Even still, he tries to get to his feet, yanking some of the barbed wire away from the walls to do it, and Lockheart jumps up and HITS A METEORAIN! The meteora connects, as do the knee shots to the barbed wire-wrapped head of McAlroy!
Arthur La Forge: She's getting cuts as well but doesn't seem to care!
Mary DeSue: As long as Bert is taken out, neither do I!
Arthur La Forge: At this point, I don't see how Bert even gets out of that barbed wire cage, let alone all the way back down.
Lockheart climbs up the much smaller third cage, leaving McAlroy to fend for himself. She gets up to the top and pulls down the Final Boss Championship, staring at it for a moment before climbing down the third cage with little effort. McAlroy, meanwhile, is not so much attempting to free himself from the barbed wire as he is free the barbed wire from the cage. He grabs it and begins to tug on it, cutting his palms, but ripping the wire free. Then, looking at Lockheart as she is down to his level, begins to WRAP THE WIRE AROUND HIMSELF! McAlroy steps out of the cage, completely wrapped head to toe in barbed wire!
Arthur La Forge: Oh my god, he's turned himself into a weapon!
Mary DeSue: I guess if you can't get it off, use it to your advantage.
Arthur La Forge: Even the champion is looking at him like he's crazy!
McAlroy charges at the champion, now a living weapon, and she baseball slides to avoid the attack attempt, before hitting a calf sweep to knock Bert down. McAlroy then realizes the disadvantage to his plan as the fall causes the barbs to press into him. He roars in pain as the champion leaps up as high as she can before extending her legs downward and HITTING HIM WITH A DOUBLE FOOT STOMP! Lockheart stomps the barbed wire into McAlroy, even as it catches her coming down! She then moves into the second cage, with newfound adrenaline, before going to the door. She drops the belt down through the hatch into the ring below and then...CLOSES THE HATCH BEHIND HER!
Mary DeSue: ...what?
Arthur La Forge: I think the champion wants to settle things right now in the weapons cage!
Mary DeSue: She could have...she just wants to hurt Bert some more!
Arthur La Forge: Wouldn't you love that?
Mary DeSue: Not if it means he might have a chance to win!!
McAlroy climbs down the second cage wall to join her. They are now back in the weapons cage and both are bleeding, bruised messes. She points down to the belt below and then, dramatically stands on top of the hatch, letting McAlroy know that if he wants the belt, he'll have to literally go through her. Bert and Maggie meet in the center of the cage and begin trading shots, one covered in barbed wire and the other not. She kicks him in the leg and grabs his head in a cravat, hoping for Lockheart Liberation, but Bert shoves her off. She turns around and McAlroy attempts Bong Water, but she sidesteps. In turn, she tries an Entopy Blade but McAlroy sidesteps THAT. He grabs her from behind and hits the McAldestroyer 2.0, or tries to, but when he gets her turned around, she drops down and hits him with a BULLDOG! The move drives the barbed wire into his face, as all moves will from here on out! She moves away to recover while Bert tears at his head, in an attempt to prevent the barbs from getting near his eye.
Arthur La Forge: This match is disgusting. And we're not any closer to a winner!
Mary DeSue: At the rate they're going, they'll be dead before we get one.
McAlroy gets up and slams his fist into the cage floor as he tries to will himself up. Lockheart makes no effort to get down, as it seems she wants to settle things. Bert charges forward and attempts a quick BONG WATER, but Lockheart just manages to duck it. She then hits a calf kick, the start of 7 Seconds 'til the End, but when she goes for the buzzsaw kick, Bert drops down to avoid it. She course corrects and jumps up for the BLACK LEGACY, but McAlroy rolls out of the way! Frustrated, she turns around to meet him as he pops back up and grabs a piece of the broken table from earlier, popping her in the head with it! Lockheart staggers and the champion grabs her and hits the McAldestroyer 2.0!! McAlroy begins to crawl toward the escape hatch, but when doing that causes the barbed wire to press into him, he forces himself to get up. This delay in time allows Maggie to starts to stir, as Bert drops back down to a kneel. He starts crawling over to the hatch on his hands and knees and LOCKHEART LEAPS OVER MCALROY AND STOMPS HIS HEAD INTO THE ESCAPE HATCH WITH THE BLACK LEGACY!!!
Arthur La Forge: OH MY GOD! MCALROY IS DONE!
Mary DeSue: YASSSSS QUEEN!
Arthur La Forge: If Maggie wants to leave the cage, I don't think McAlroy will put up any kind of a fight anymore!
Lockheart gets to her feet and once again seems enraged. She grabs Bert and lifts him up, although the challenger is mostly dead weight at this time. She gets him in a powerbomb postion, a move she wouldn't normally use. But she does this time, using the last bit of her strength to lift McAlroy up and POWERBOMB HIM INTO THE HATCH! THE HATCH BREAKS AND MCALROY FALLS THROUGH ONTO THE LADDER TOP, BACK FIRST!
There then seem to be a few moments where everything comes to a standstill, as everyone realizes what's happening next.
The impact from Bert upset the balance of the ladder...WHICH TIPS AND FALLS TO THE MAT WITH BERT ALONG WITH IT!
Arthur La Forge: Our Final Boss Champion just used up the last of Bert's lives there and I don't think he has a continue!
Mary DeSue: BERT MCALROY IS DONE! DING DONG THE STONER's DEAD!
Arthur La Forge: This is serious!
Mary DeSue: Do I look like I'm joking?!
Arthur La Forge: And now Lockheart is trapped in the weapons cage! She could climb down the side, but you have to take the belt out through the door on the first cage to win!
Mary DeSue: She can take her time to figure it out. Bert's literally dead.
Bert is an absolute mess as he lays in a heap near the corner. Pieces of barbed wire have come lose and hang around him, other pieces fell off on impact, other pieces are stuck in him. He's bleeding from multiple places and his body is battered and bruised. Luckily, he's breathing, although his spine is radiating pain down to his legs. Lockheart, meanwhile, seems to have realized she cut off her way down, so she exits the weapons cage and begins to climb down the side of the first cage. In the ring, Bert limply raises a hand, trying to find some sort of purchase to pull himself up. He weakly grabs a rope and tugs, but when he puts weight down on his leg, the pain in his back and general weakness cause him to fall back down through the ropes to the floor. Lockheart gets down to the floor from the first cage and begins making her way to the cage door. She yells at special referee Eli Goode to let her in, but he shakes his head! He points up the ramp to let her know there's someone coming out as music begins to play.
Arthur La Forge: Wait, where have I heard that music before?
Mary DeSue: Oh no....
"I Am The Slime" by Frank Zappa hits the speakers and JOHNNY HITMAKER begins storming out from the back to back up his client! Hitmaker strolls down the ramp and Lockheart turns to face him. She's clearly annoyed immediately and he hasn't even said anything yet. But she seems like she's done with everything in this match and is ready to end it. The Johnny begins to shout at her a bevy of threats of what his client is going to do to her, when Lockheart suddenly KICKS HIM WITH A LOW BLOW! Johnny lurches forward, all the fight driven out of him, and Lockheart then grabs Hitmaker by the head and throws him into the cage! She then yells at Goode to open the door and he does, now that any potential interference has been stopped. She gets in and slams the door behind her, before having a staredown with Goode.
Arthur La Forge: One wrong move and she might deck him too.
Mary DeSue: I wouldn't! Bert is still breathing! Finish him!
Before we can see how the staredown will end, the Final Boss Champion turns her head and notices that Bert has somehow managed to get up to his feet on the other side of the ring, holding onto the apron to keep himself upright. And in the center of the ring, in between them both, is the Final Boss title. The two stare at each other for a moment and then scramble to get into the ring, neither moving very quickly due to the beatings they've suffered.
Arthur La Forge: HERE WE GO!
Mary DeSue: KICK HIS ASS MAGS!
The two meet in the ring where McAlroy surprises Lockheart with a SECTOR 7 PRESS! He drives the barbed wire around his body into her and when they fall, begins to lay in a series of punches. She hits an open hand palm strike to the ear to force him off and throw off his equilibrium. He rolls off and gets to his feet and she begins unleashing with another Beat Rush! Meanwhile, he starts throwing off kicks to the chest! Two jabs from Maggie! A kick from Bert! An uppercut from Maggie! Another kick from Bert! Spinning back elbow from Maggie! Kick to the thigh from Bert! Maggie absorbs it and tries for the spinning roaring elbow, Bert ducks it and catches her coming back around with a SPINNING ROARING ELBOW OF HIS OWN! HE COMPLETED BEAT RUSH FOR HER! Maggie stands there, losing her balance, as Bert takes a step back and charges, AND SHE HITS HIM WITH HER OWN VERSION OF BONG WATER! BOTH FIGHTERS COLLAPSE TO THE MAT!
Arthur La Forge: WHAT A SEQUENCE! The entire arena is on its feet cheering!
Mary DeSue: HOW is he able to hang with her after all of that!
Arthur La Forge: Bert wants to be champion! They both do! And they're throwing everything at each other to make it happen!
Lockheart gets the belt in her hands and gets to her feet first, motioning for McAlroy to get up. When he does, she tosses the belt at him and once she catches it, hits a sweeping calf kick! He drops down to his knees with the belt still in his hands and she hits the buzzsaw kick to complete 7 Seconds 'til the End! McAlroy is now in a familiar position, on his hands and knees with his face hovering over the Final Boss Championship belt. Lockheart runs and leaps up for the Black Legacy, but Bert grabs the belt and rolls out of the way! He pops up and hits Lockheart with BONG WATER! He climbs up to the top rope, as Maggie staggers and falls to her hands and knees, then JUMPS OFF WITH THE HAIL'S BLESSING TO THE BACK OF THE CHAMPION! HE DROVE BOTH FEET AND BARBED WIRE INTO HER BACK!
Arthur La Forge: Bert just used his wife's move on the champion!
Mary DeSue: HOW did he even pull that off with as hurt as he is!
Indeed, the jarring of his back seems to have made the injuries worse, as he gets up to his feet to immediately collapse. But he snatches the belt anyway and rolls under the bottom rope. He begins hobbling toward the door, with the end of the match and his title hopes just within reach. He continues to limp his way to the door when suddenly Lockheart rolls out herself, right in front of him and the door. She lands on her feet but her legs go weak and she drops to her hands and knees. Bert reaches down to grab her...AND PICKS HER UP TO HER FEET! They acknowledge each other for a brief moment, a brief sign of respect, and IMMEDIATELY BEGIN BRAWLING!
Arthur La Forge: I think we're at the end now, but who's going to get it!?
Mary DeSue: STAY DOWN BERT DAMN IT!
The two blooded, battered athletes are hammering each other with the strength they have left, before Lockheart spins and hits a roaring elbow! Bert staggers backward and she grabs the Final Boss belt away from him! Bert gets a hand on it and it's a tug of war! While each hold on to and end of the belt, BERT SUDDENLY RUNS AND SPEARS LOCKHEART THROUGH THE DOOR!!!! THE DOOR COMES OFF HIS HINGES AND THEY BOTH CRASH OUTSIDE THE CAGE!
Arthur La Forge: They're both out!
Mary DeSue: YEAH BUT WHO HAD THE BELT?!
Referee Eli Goode, who got out of the way when the brawl started, comes back around and looks through the door at the two bodies lying on the broken cage door. He kneels down and inspects the scene, then points down at...
BERT MCALROY IS HOLDING THE BELT!!!!
Goode raises his hand as the winner!!!
Mr. Rad: YOUR WINNER.....AND THE NEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW LEVEL UP WRESTLING FINAL BOSS CHAMPION....BERT MCALROY!!!!!!
Mary DeSue: OH MY GOD NOOOOOOOO!
Arthur La Forge: It finally happened! BERT MCALROY realized his dream and closed out the year as the champion! He worked from the opening match of our first show to the main event of the biggest show of the year and he WON!
Mary DeSue: This is a travesty!
McAlroy gets to his feet and begins to try to peel the barbed wire off, but some of it is wrapped tight in places and will require doctors to get rid of it. Instead, he shrugs his shoulders and holds the belt as high as he can get it. Ahmya comes down with her Wisdom Championship and checks on him. She can't really embrace Bert right now, so they simply rest their heads against each other.
Arthur La Forge: A nice scene, to be sure.
Mary DeSue: Speak for yourself.
Arthur La Forge: This match could have gone either way. In fact, it came down to Bert managing to have a stronger grip more than anything else in the last few moments.
Mary DeSue: It's not fair. She beat the hell out of him all match!
Arthur La Forge: You know there's going to be a rematch at some point. Both fighters have one win apiece! But for now, Bert will have his time to celebrate.
Lockheart is finally starting to come to and has realized what has happened. She sits up on the broken door, nursing her ribcage, looking up at the new champion. The camera shot shows Lockheart looking on as Bert and Ahmya celebrate their successful night, as the scene fades to black.

Ahmya vs. Sidroy Covington
---
Larry Tact vs. Duncan Shepard

The Avenger vs. Cypher vs. Ataxia vs. Brandon Hendrix vs. Nocturne

Buster Gloves vs. HIS MONSTER

Dionysus vs. Jenny

Bert McAlroy vs. Magdalena Lockheart
I can't see a thing!
...re...union...
Each of them has one of their sleeves torn revealing a number tattoo.
...she's... com..ing...
As the meteor "hits", a pyro blast goes off and ignites the stage in flames!
...des...cend... heartless... angel...
She is your current and defending Final Boss Champion, She is the BLACK LEGACY, THE HEARTLESS ANGEL-
M A G D A L E N A L O C K H E A R T
